I get some of the rays but mostly what I get is a ghost image of maybe 1/4 of the object on all horizontal surfaces. Vertical is sharp.
Pic is of a ghosting TV display. Notice to the right of the helmet in the pic where there's what looks like a shadow. That's similar to what I see on horizontal surfaces.
Growing up all I ever knew of arthur were cartoons, especially the disney movie. This movie was my introduction to Guinevere being a prostitute and lancelot being a backstabber.
I'm pretty sure the early armours are dark and horned to make it seem like they're from a barbarous time. It contrasts the more classic armours from after Arthur becomes king.
I like how this movie, as opposed to Conan, is all about the responsibility of power and leadership and country, whereas Conan, which I like a lot, is too self centered. He improves himself while neglecting the world. Arthur lives for his country while neglecting himself. Also based Wagner and Orff soundtrack. Conan's soundtrack is top tier kino as well tho.
I like how the action in this movie has a very heavy, awkward feel to it, like they're actually covered in armor and have been fighting long enough to get tired. Sound effects are excellent as well. Love the horses and the steel clashes and rings. Great performances all around. Arthur really grounds and carriers the pic, allowing Merlin to be outrageous and scene chewing. Helen Miren can fricking get it in that steel bodice thing. Young Patrick Stewart and Liam Neisson and Gabriel Byrne. I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who's filtered by this top grade kino.

That whole arc was a later addition to the myths because the French can't get into a story if it doesn't have love triangles and relationship drama.
Just seems so wild to me that a French NTR fanfic got so well known it became part of the widely accepted Arthurian canon.
