I don't get why De Palma doesn't get much credit these days. Tarantino's entire style is a clear ripoff of his. He's very influential and has several great films
in Tarantinos new book he says outright that DePalmas Taxi Driver wouldve been a better movie. he also b***hes that the whole white pimp thing is a myth and that Travis shouldve killed a bunch of black people at the end because it was 'ridiculous' to think black audiences would riot over it
Nick Cage is a dirty cop and all the shenanigans surrounding what happens during the fight involves a murder plot that relied on what a sleaze bag of a cop he is.
Except for Raising Cain, Carlito’s Way, Mission Impossible, Snake Eyes, Femme Fatale and Black Dahlia which are all kino
Agree with you on all but Black Dahlia. Proof that everyone has a bad day. That most recent one would have been kino were it not that the studio cut the budget it on him and it's a shock he was able to make it as good as it was.
thanks tarantino. i found a decent movie that didn't piss me off.

I need to read that book
Tarantino is a pseud, Keitel did great in his minimal role in Taxi Driver
whites can pimp, but not successfully in 70s new york
I know right
Very kino. Blow-Up is also kino but for quite different reasons
The entire movie was a dark joke building up to the punchline at the end. I loved it.
The ending hit me in the fricking gut tbh senpai but I also loved it
That ending makes it one of my favorite films, and definitely changes how you see it on rewatches.
I just love Nancy.
>elbow cleavage
you zoomers should be watching De Palma, good
de palma is a fricking hitchwiener wannabe hack and all his movies are garbage except for scarface
cringe
>de palma is a fricking hitchwiener wannabe hack
yawn
a program does this, right?
i saw one of ninja turtles 1990
no
Movies used to be so full of life, color and imagination. What the frick happened.
Someone started hiring tech gays
>tech gays ruin movies
>analyticsgays ruin sports
What's next
Man I love this movie. It must have been fricking crazy watching when it came out. It feels so ahead of it's time.
Everything after Bonfire sure makes him seem like a hack.
Snake Eyes is kino.
i saw snake eyes while mildly drunk and can't remember the plot. was it rigged boxing?

Mission Impossible is the only good one and Carlito is a bad misfire for both him and Pacino. Tragic even.
Cahiers called it the best film of the 90s but I’ll take your word over the people who actually know what they’re talking about
Carlito's Way is arguably his greatest film. I don't know how you can call it a misfire. Really fricking underrated
Carlito's Way isn't a bad movie at all
thanks for the tedious conventional take, jay bauman
Profoundly kino movie.
For me it's Body Double
now watch The Conversation if you haven't
I think Blow Up is overrated.
What a film
I actually liked this better than The Conversation which it seems very inspired by
both this and the conversation are based on the film blow-up
>Blow Out
That's a solid film. Great conspiracy kino.
i did naht shoot marvin in the face i did naht
