Holy shit Cinemaphile was right for once. There was a thread about this movie a few days ago so I decided to watch the movie on Disney+ at my parents after I got home from college break. It was fricking great and all the songs were legit bangers. Caine was the perfect Scrooge. And yea I made sure to see the version with the missing song.

Zoomers are already entering the cartoon workforce and they don't even watch cartoons, just tiktok clips of them. And they spout the opinion of whatever other people say about a cartoon on social media. So with that in mind, and the fact that a majority of the people in the industry are like regardless of if they're zoomers or not, it's not hard to see why the industry sucks so much
Because most of what made the Muppets what it was isn't really a thing anymore. Celebrity Culture is dead in the water, and E-celebs are walking powder kegs that will explode into irrelevance at any given moment. The Muppets can't really use copyrighted music as freely anymore with most companies being far stricter nowadays. Hell, Disney itself is a huge obstacle that goes out of its way to sanitize the Muppets whenever possible.

It's kind of a miracle it ever worked at all. Jim made that shit work like Linda Belcher makes their business work by juggling the bills
and by the end, the stress of STILL not making a profit (hell even Christmas Carol got shat on when it first released, so the luck never turned for them even after him) on every masterpiece he put out. Nobody had any faith in them and none of it ever did well. And it was incredibly laborious and expensive to make.
