I can't agree that it's capeshit, but overall it did have too many ingredients. Deckard should have not been involved at ALL. It was a pretty film that had many great moments, but the story just kinda sucked. The OG bladerunner was better.
I think they brought back Deckard because they felt like they had to do a Star Wars thing and make the story about family in the end because otherwise it would just be just a story set in a futuristic world with not much else going on. But even then they subverted all of that by making it so K wasn't actually anyone special.

A murderous psycho boasts about how she's "the best" and then ~1 minute later she gets drowned to death. What a great scene.
90 seconds of nothing but straight up choking and drowning. Not a fight of who drowns who but 90 seconds of nothing but K choking the frick out of Luv until he sees the life fade away in her eyes. And it's actually a quite tragic scene as well since Luv just wanted to be special like K did.
In a usual flick such a scene would maybe take 15 seconds max. Great scene, great film.

I went to theaters for 2 bucks at a run down ghetto place. About 10 guys were there and all of them were the comic book guy, fat and balding. At least I saw it for cheap. Paid more for popcorn.

Yes sir. I believe that Cinemaphile as a whole does indeed enjoy this 97 hour borefest of a movie. Almost as much as they enjoy the live action remake of The Little Mermaid, because it follows the fantasy that black girls have fathers that stuck around.
Movie was maximum kino until Harrison popped up from an afternoon nap in his trailer wearing a fruit of the loom tshirt. That shit instantly took me out of the movie. Thet should've skipped Harrison and just having K going around the city.
