>*turn on clerks 3* >Dante: "wait a minute, you sucked HOW MANY DICKS???" >*camera pans out and we see Dante is talking to Jay and Silent Bob >*turn off clerks 3*
>you don't like clerks 2 >well thats because you weren't a loser who worked fast food in his 30s, bullied literal high school kids who are supposed to be there, and watched a guy frick a donkey for his birthday.
yeah that must be it. the movie couldn't possibly just be bad.
I'm in highschool, have more friends IN REAL LIFE than you probably have in your entire life and hated every single minute of that parody of a movie. Imagine thinking relatability has anything to do whether a movie is good or not. Your thinking is outdated Grandpa.
i feel bad, i don't hate Kevin Smith, he's an okay guy but holy shit it's depressing that the guy who made one of the best independent films makes so much garbage
It's not that surprising.
Clerks was a very personal window into Kevin Smith's life. His life was grinding away waging to afford to follow his dreams, playing hockey and smoking weed. We got a very honest and funny comedy out of that.
Then he made it big and we realised he didn't have all that much to say.
Chasing Amy and Dogma are still good though.
>he didn't become an insufferable pothead until he met Seth Rogan
No. We didn't KNOW he was an insufferable pothead until he started Smodcast straight after he released Zach and Miri.
judging tf out of randall who said he would never do another clerks bc he realized how shit the writing was. where is his dignity and self respect now?
>here are those kids I was telling you about
>why does Dante look like DarkSydePhil?
Bugged life mechanics.
This is the kind of thing Randall would've made fun of in the first movie.
Who asked for this?
Kevin Smith’s accountants, probably
are they finally gonna run out of luck and get shot by Black folks
damn that would be funny
Brian O'Halloran is 12 and 1/2 years older than Darksydephil and has an actual job
I think rosario o dawson is in better shape then kat too
what is that thing behind the Pig Roach?
Khet
>that fricking mullet
Why does everyone seem to have a fricking mullet all of a sudden?
>I think rosario o dawson is in better shape then kat too
did rosario hit the wall yet?
Kevin Smith is like the Adam Sandler of gen-X indie shit. He just keeps making movies to hire his friends who can't get work anywhere else
I watched Clerks (1) and didn't find it entertaining. I stopped watching Clerks 2 after about 15 minutes.
So I guess third one can't be any better.
>*turn on clerks 3*
>Dante: "wait a minute, you sucked HOW MANY DICKS???"
>*camera pans out and we see Dante is talking to Jay and Silent Bob
>*turn off clerks 3*
How old are you and do you have any friends?
What does that have to do with the quality of a film
Relatability, I find people who don't have friends or who haven't experienced things tend to not like movies about those things.
>you don't like clerks 2
>well thats because you weren't a loser who worked fast food in his 30s, bullied literal high school kids who are supposed to be there, and watched a guy frick a donkey for his birthday.
yeah that must be it. the movie couldn't possibly just be bad.
Are you saying any time a person criticizes a film it stems from a lack of relatability?
I'm in highschool, have more friends IN REAL LIFE than you probably have in your entire life and hated every single minute of that parody of a movie. Imagine thinking relatability has anything to do whether a movie is good or not. Your thinking is outdated Grandpa.
Ayooo Anon got dunked on by a high school kid
dude quit wasting your best years on this shitty board
>Best years in first third of life and not sprinkled throughout.
Why do people say this
27 and yes I have friends
2 was also bad, and the 3 being worse is meta-meta comedy, or alpha-comedy
DAYUM, YOU GOT CA-CA-CA-OLD!
>Did Randal just call Mr Dante a Black person?
Based
Clerks 2 is based
i feel bad, i don't hate Kevin Smith, he's an okay guy but holy shit it's depressing that the guy who made one of the best independent films makes so much garbage

Chasing Amy and Dogma are still good though.
he didn't become an insufferable pothead until he met Seth Rogan on Zach and Miri and it ruined both him and his career
>he didn't become an insufferable pothead until he met Seth Rogan
No. We didn't KNOW he was an insufferable pothead until he started Smodcast straight after he released Zach and Miri.
he never really smoked weed until he met seth, he wrote it in his book. he just thought weed was funny to put in movies
An Evening With Kevin Smith is also pretty good, actually funnier than his movies
I saw clerks when I was 17. The sequel, give or take, 29ish? Idk, the films encapsulate some of the feelings, especially losing high school friends.
t. the guy you call a gay probably
>27 dicks
these guys are like 60 years old
The stuff Kevin Smith made in the 90s (incl. Clerks Animated) was good, the stuff he made after the 90s, was bad.
That's all you need to know.
judging tf out of randall who said he would never do another clerks bc he realized how shit the writing was. where is his dignity and self respect now?
i guess he learned the hard way that self respect doesn't pay the bills on its own
>why does the sequel to two terrible films written and directed by a man who has never made a good film look so terrible?
it's a real mystery anon
