Movie: P2
excatly the stuff I'm looking for - thanks!
Kolchak the night stalker, both the TV movies and the series
Incredibly comfy show.
this as well as buck rogers, the rockford files, mash, hogan's heros, hardcastle & mccormic, hill street blues, benson, bosom buddies, V, magnum PI, in search of, ripley's believe it or not, tj hooker and quite a few others.
How about you pay for shit you use like a non useless member of society would.
I feel that paying for services with limited selection and ads is a moronic proposition
I don't pay for Tubi or PlutoTV.
Why ask for what shows/movies to include? Why not just get what you like?
because I want to have a huge selection of lesser known stuff. If I'd just take what I like, I'd have 50 movies and 3 shows that I'll never watch again. I want some variety
Pusher 1, 2 and 3
The Holy Mountain
Falling Down with Michael Douglas

Need a software with a Netflix like UI (or better if we can be honest) that runs off an external HDD offline without an installation.
do you connect the hdd to your tv/laptop or do you want to go over network?
I connect it to a PC which is connected to a TV/projector but I wanna be able to take it to someone else's house. Thus it needs to run off the HDD without having to install software to their PC or use network features. If there are optional network features like for grabbing meta data that's fine but I just need an offline movie file organizer with tags and posters.
I'd look into portable kodi. The default skin sucks but you can get it to look somewhat decent with some other skin. It should grab metadata and images when it's connected.
You would store the binaries and media database on the same disk, then just plug it in and run the binary. I don't know it this would work across different OS though
Looking for a dedicated software. Looking at the wiki I still need to install Kodi and not just run it on the drive it's on.
the kodi wiki implies that you install it once (on your removable media), then create a shortcut with the -p flag and you're done
Yeah but won't that shortcut redirect to the drive it's originally set to? Like if I have drives C, D, E, and I install it on F, the the shortcut will go to F. But if I take the drive to a PC that only has C, the shortcut is now broken because there's no F drive.
install kodi in a folder on you usb hdd (e.g. F:kodi), then create a batch file on the top level of your usb hdd that points to the binary inside the kodi folder. This should work without specifying the the drive letter
How about I just find a software where I double click it and it runs without gay work arounds?
Columbo
The Outer Limits (Original and 90s)
The Prisoner
Sapphire and Steel
You gotta have Knight Rider and MacGyver.
The John Adams [2008] HBO series
>Organizing your server fully alphabetically
>Not organizing it as Decade -> Alphabetically
I my drive by decade, but also want it by year and then alphabetically because you can always just search for a movie title.
it's a collection view, the file system is organized into decades, then folders with sorted genres
