he literally has done almost nothing wrong. all he wants is to do a movie every once in a while, save a few people, thats it. but vought forces him into doing shit and then it's somehow his fault. he's also constantly cleaning up after other people's messes as well
What are you talking about? He shows up and fricks up and then vought has to cover for his mistakes because if it's understood that he's a powerful yet stupid there's no trust he'll do the right thing.
this. people don't give him enough credit for not only being America's strongest and finest superhero, but they also forget how much corporate bullshit I have to put up with on a daily basis, it's sickening
I can't buy him as a villian, I don't think his actor is very good for the role. I don't buy his motives because he doesn't have an endgame and doesn't really have good cause to sneed out the way he does. if the show started with him already insane like irredeemable and then went into his story it would've been better than trying to do what they're doing.
They're trying to show him constantly pushing boundaries so his black father can get mad at him and say stop, and now he's gone so all his autistic shit is SUPPOSED to be on him now, but apparently Vought can still fire him?
They're trying to show him constantly pushing boundaries so his black father can get mad at him and say stop, and now he's gone so all his autistic shit is SUPPOSED to be on him now, but apparently Vought can still fire him?
his whole premise with vought doesn't even make sense comic always have inevitable backup clone plots because it's the only thing that makes sense when you're creating superweapon people, the idea they just randomly created a schizo superman that won't be held accountable for basically anything and just let him do as he pleases is just silly considering they show he's ALWAYS been a psycho, it wasn't really a descent at all he's been this way from the start but somehow everyone involved is too stupid to notice? doesn't make sense
Homelander himself had respect for Stillwell and Edgar. Only once he realized that he's the superior one and doesn't need them things started to turn around. As another anon said, he's a child in a supermans body and behaves like that.
And even then Edgar still has him on his toes even when he falt out told him that he isn't afraid of Edgar anymore and could just rip him in half on the spot.
>he doesn't have an endgame
that's a huge part of his character. He's just an overpowered manbaby caught in the machinations of others, being pinballed around from one crisis to another. He has no real mission, purpose or goal in his life. He doesn't understand that his powers don't mean he has to be some important figure on the world stage, he could literally just go grill and have a small cult following that gives him all the adoration he wants. Starlight took the right path in just straight up quitting.
>that's a huge part of his character.
yeah I mean I get he's just kind of lost in the sauce but I just mean endgame in that even the things he does on a small scale don't make sense, like even a crazy person can draw a line from a to b if they're functional like homelander, the writing for homelander just feels like >woooahhhh yeah dude who knows what he'll do next he's uhhhh crrraaazzzyyyy
which is why it felt so shit to have stormfront basically run his character for all of their arc, it legit felt like they just didn't know what to do with him so they just puppeted him for a while under someone that actually has motives
He 180° in the space of one episode is really throwing me off. She's gone to "everything it takes, even if I have to suck his wiener and pretend to love him, even if there's no guarantee your plan will work, everything it takes" to "nnnnooooooooooooo, not the heckin innocent supeserinoooooooosss!!!" in like a day. Went from I really like her to she's completely insufferable. Kind of hoping she gets it if she's to stay like this.
Not really a problem in the comic where Black Noir is his clone and is the one doing all the really fricked up shit that then gets attributed to Homelander.
They probably didn't. They might just say the original Noir was some black dude, but when that guy died after Soldier Boy was kidnapped, he was replaced by the Homelander clone without anyone knowing. They could still make it work, the reveal could even work better now that you expect him to be some random black guy.
They clearly did, since he's still allergic to peanuts and he freaks out and digs out his tracker when learning Soulja Boy is still alive, something it's not even obvious Homelander could do with a knife.
I think it's because sticking with it wouldn't let them do much with Black Noir. They rewrote the Deep as well, in the comic he's just a one note character who's only interest is in his financials and profit margins.
>Garth Ennis
oh that explains why the plot is so dumb. that Black person couldn't write his way out of a paper bag, he's just >LE MAXIMUM EDGE
reading crossed was one of the worst experiences of my life because it was so fricking shit
yes that includes the "good" ones like wish you were here
The comic is short and sweet. It doesn't have much pretense so the typical lack of nuance from Ennis doesn't harm it in my opinion. Amazon wants the show to be more grand and have more implications than "corporations bad" and the Cannibal Holocaust message about human nature so you get attrition with the source material.
>I don't think his actor is very good for the role
I think you may be one of the only people on the planet that thinks this, it’s like you’re just trying to be a contrarian. Antony Starr pretty much carries this entire show on his shoulders with his performance as Homelander, it’s pretty universally agreed upon.
I mean I'm sorry man I usually buy into fiction pretty easy I just can't shake the feeling watching him that he's acting, almost like he read the script the second before they shot, he makes convincing faces I guess but his delivery, I just don't buy it
what I'm saying is it comes off as forced, even in his moments where he's his "real" self as a psycho. doesn't feel like a guy that's unglued it feels like a guy acting like a guy that's unhinged in his community college play.
I don't get how people haven't realized yet that this show is just an excuse for Seth Rogen and his friends to create caricatures of what they think Trump and the republicans and white people in general are and parade them around on screen. Everything else is just filler.
>it's another moronic boylet on Cinemaphile watches a feminist show and thinks it's portraying men as cool and based and not filling them full of anti-white male predictive programming
Not really. He is too wishy washy and constantly swaps between being a pussy and a psychopath. Makes him seem weak.
They make a big deal about him finally being unhinged and doing whatever the frick he wants, and then this episode he's crying about noir, crying to himself in the mirror, and just generally seeming scared.
He was MUCH scarier in season 1. Season 2 was okay. He's pretty bad in season 3.
My friend played season 3 on TV and the first thing we see is a fricking naked man with his wiener dangling in between his legs teleport onto a fricking table and said man actually having ant man kind of powers go small and massage a dick from the inside.
I fricking walked out. did i get filtered
was the end of the last episode probably the first time homelander's life has been in danger? i notice hes also bruised, wonder whats gonna happen when everyone sees hes not actually immortal
he literally has done almost nothing wrong. all he wants is to do a movie every once in a while, save a few people, thats it. but vought forces him into doing shit and then it's somehow his fault. he's also constantly cleaning up after other people's messes as well
Everytime he shows up I'm terrified of him for how unhinged he is and could snap at any given moment. The actor is phenomenal in conveying that.
Its ok its just a TV show. He cant hurt you.
uwu
He can if you run into him at a restaurant in Spain on a bad day
Calm down you donut
Never reply to me again you esl piece of shit
Stfu and kiss me f0ggit
he’s not real, anon
Tell that to the Spanish chef
chill buddy hes not coming to your basement
I live in a very nice apartment ty.
Spooky tho living by myself some nights.
What are you talking about? He shows up and fricks up and then vought has to cover for his mistakes because if it's understood that he's a powerful yet stupid there's no trust he'll do the right thing.

t. Homelander
He was in the first season, 2 made him into a joke
I can't buy him as a villian, I don't think his actor is very good for the role. moron spotted. embarrassing
suck my balls

Just tell me he rapes Starlight at some point. I'm sick of her holier than thou attitude
starlight is going to get blacked by a train
Isn't A Train dead?
One can only hope
He 180° in the space of one episode is really throwing me off. Hope the Deep somehow mouthrapes her again. She's, just sadly uninteresting.
Not really a problem in the comic where Black Noir is his clone and is the one doing all the really fricked up shit that then gets attributed to Homelander.
>in the comic where Black Noir is his clone
why did they re write this plot point
So they could have some boring nonsense about how Homelander is literally Trump and Trump bad
They probably didn't. They might just say the original Noir was some black dude, but when that guy died after Soldier Boy was kidnapped, he was replaced by the Homelander clone without anyone knowing. They could still make it work, the reveal could even work better now that you expect him to be some random black guy.
it wouldn't make sense though since he's obviously not as powered up since he got dabbed on by a female
They clearly did, since he's still allergic to peanuts and he freaks out and digs out his tracker when learning Soulja Boy is still alive, something it's not even obvious Homelander could do with a knife.
I think it's because sticking with it wouldn't let them do much with Black Noir. They rewrote the Deep as well, in the comic he's just a one note character who's only interest is in his financials and profit margins.
because it was dumb as shit and Garth Ennis is a shit writer. The comics are trash and anyone who says otherwise is a fricking moron
>Garth Ennis
oh that explains why the plot is so dumb. that Black person couldn't write his way out of a paper bag, he's just

Omg I'm literally shaking

lmfao okay moron
>it's another moronic boylet on Cinemaphile watches a feminist show and thinks it's portraying men as cool and based and not filling them full of anti-white male predictive programming
Is this the most onions currently running series with any popularity?
stop watching tv while stoned anon
He's literally Trump.
I'm literally (still) shaking.
The moronic schizo "bad guy" version of Trump that libtards think is real.
I wish
I'm literally shaking
laser eyes are the coolest superpower
Isn't there a general specifically made for shilling this show?
Didn't realize these shill accusing shcizos existed outside of Cinemaphile
Cancer.
OOOOIIIIIIIIIIIII
Shut yer trap you DUMB BIRD
Or I'll BOLLOCKS ya
as the only witness, why did homelander describe, in detail, this scene to the media?
Because it was funnier
>WOT IF SOOPERMAN WOZ EVUL
He doesn't have his black surrogate pseudo-father to keep him grounded anymore, I assume that's what they're going for anyway
"You are nothing but a bad product"
Oof.
Ashley is legit my wife.
Any nudes of this nob gobbler?
Is he just autistic?
Acquired brain injury, basically super autism
What were they thinking by not casting him as Albert Wesker? The guy is literally him
This is how POC view all white people. It is terrifying
ngl, breastfeeding from a woman while she jerks you off is 100% kino
None other than Elizabeth Shue too
Does he kill Gus? Someone spoil it for me idc
no. homelander arranges it so the aoc character betrays gus and he steps down as ceo
My friend played season 3 on TV and the first thing we see is a fricking naked man with his wiener dangling in between his legs teleport onto a fricking table and said man actually having ant man kind of powers go small and massage a dick from the inside.
I fricking walked out.
did i get filtered
Shortly after you left, the dude expands inside his urethra and explodes him inside out.
What the frick
why did series go a different route than comic?
was the end of the last episode probably the first time homelander's life has been in danger? i notice hes also bruised, wonder whats gonna happen when everyone sees hes not actually immortal
