Homer Simpson has canonically been 37 since the series first aired and has not aged.

Homer Simpson has canonically been 37 since the series first aired and has not aged. In the early seasons he would've been a boomer, and has gradually aged into gen x years through the 90s/2000s, an would now be a millennial.
If the show makes it another 10-15 years he will probably become a zoomer.

Bart is canonically born in 1979 or 1980, making him a gen Xer.

unless homer is 5ft8 then being 239lbs isnt a big deal in 2024. Hell in 2079 the average americans weight will be well into the 250s

There's a TOH episode where there's a whole "Simpsons World" of fans recreating the famous scenes and memorable quotes
It ends with the family escaping and tearing down a statue of Matt Groening holding Barts hand, but the whole just screams seethe that their shitty twitter writing isn't as amazing as the good episodes

it was obviously a self criticism not a criticism of fans. they need to move away from referencing their golden years and come up with new and fresh material and they realize this.

How do Cinemaphile feel about the theory that every season is a separate canon? It would explain all of the discrepancies within the series and you can ignore everything after your favorite season

There isn't a 'canon', there's just the status quo, everything else is ephemeral and open to contradiction at a later date
