It really bugs me that Sokka was sexist in the first place because literally no other character in the setting (except Paku, just that one old guy) has those beliefs and female warriors are common in the world, it feels like a character arc that entirely rests on the audiences' assumption that a female character capable of fighting is surprising or novel, which is far from the case in 2024.

Completely disregarding the fact that women suck as combatants. And women basically never go into combat IRL, has they take risking themselves.
What really should have happened is Sokka greater strength from both being male, and having to hunt to eat, would make him easily able to overpower all of them one on one. With their only counter being to gang up on him and even then the girls would take casualties.

There were already plenty of instances in the cartoons with writing like that. There is just more episodes to help spread out the trashy writing with good writing to make it less of an issue.
