Honestly I liked it more than the sequel.

Only drive larpers disagree with this take.
lol imagine if she tried to smother him with her butt lol that would be so weird wouldn't it?
You liked one of the best films of all time more than the cash grab sequel made three decades later?
the sequel was nearly as good if not just as good
really respected the original movie
I'm afraid you have bad taste
The second one was too long. I don’t think I understand the themes. It has Morbius Star Jared Leto. It had stuff that was meant to shock the old fans so I didn’t like it.
>It has Morbius Star Jared Leto
yeah this honestly lowers its contribution to cinema quite a bit
>I don’t think I understand the themes.
They're pretty simple. The primary one is that through struggle K ascended beyond his station in life. He wasn't the chosen one as he at one point thought but he humanized himself through his deliberate choice to act outside his designed "purpose."
doesn't make the movie any better
It doesn't make it better or worse, it just contributes to the package that is the movie as a whole. I'm just pointing out what it is because for some reason it seems to fly over the heads of most viewers. At least that poster was mature enough to admit he didn't get it.
dont remember asking
I accept your concession.
it's only one of the best because of the production design, the actual plot is boring. no one ever talks about the conflict and characters in blade runner, only the world building
>every movie needs to be good in the same way, for the same reasons
>no one ever talks about the conflict and characters in blade runner
literally one of the biggest debates in cinema is whether deckard is a human or a replicant
What is the correct cut to watch?
so does everyone else in their right mind
2049 improves on the original in every way conceivable
I know it's a fricking stupid joke but it always makes me smile when people pretend the filename of the illegal pirated copy is the movie's actual official name.
>stupida fricking joke
his resemblance to lewandowski is uncanny
I'm moronic. Was Deckerd a replicant?
No in the first movie and yes in the second.
yes
he transitioned
he was half a replicant
not in the book, and for all the movie changes nobody cares about the movie's story (it's all about the visuals and soundtrack) so no, he's not
yes in both
the unicorn dream and origami shit should spell it out for you
but the main theme is that it doesnt matter
this is the kino take, also director take
no ridley scott is moronic
If replicants can act indistinguishable from humans... does it matter if he's one or not? Does it changes anything?
The ambiguity is what's supposed to make it interesting. Is Deckard a Replicant or not? Does Deckard have a say in his own life or not? Do I? I actually quite like the unicorn, but Ridley Scott insisting that he has to explain it is overkill.
You should it's much better. The sequel is pretty good but the original is a masterpiece.
2049 will never be kino just because of Jared Leto's character. No, it has nothing to do with Morbius, and I will not elaborate further. IYKYK.
You've been memewashed. YKIKYK
2049 will never be kino because the atmosphere and the music is shit.
simple as...
I like both equally
This homie can't act.
I like that in the original, Tyrell isn't outright evil. He's just callous. He doesn't care. But Morbius in the new movie is like a Power Rangers villain in how obviously evil he is.
Anyone have the near 3 hr work print?
