In the 90s or 2000s, that season wouldn't have the problems in the script that comes by default today. Hell, even the season 1 that we got isn't perfect by any means, really this show was only stellar in the artistic part.
It has a really refreshing and cartoonny art direction, and some of the comedy was really clever. Also the premise had potential and some characters were good (like Libby).
The creators and crew got to make a show with obvious John K inspiration while trying to bury the lede of its roots in his blogspot Network.
Predictably they got two seasons as a result despite actually having some artistic merit - and the creator lashed out at me for pointing out how I could have helped, I influenced it too back then
Are you comparing them to literally anything besides animation industry product
I feel like in 5-10 years people will remember this like Brandy n Mr Whiskers or Jake Long. Some disney channel "oldie" that not everyone watched or liked it, but those who did it holds a special place in their hearts.
Nobody I know even watches this show. It’s not like Adventure Time or Gravity Falls where it’s considered a must watch. Even cartoon people I know won’t touch it.
If people knew about this show and knew Libby was a israelite, it’d tank it’s popularity in the current pro palestine climate. Nobody likes a colonizer.
what are you even talking about
Unless the storylines were going to get better after season 2, it was never gonna be a classic because it already went zombie after season 1.

>Unless the storylines were going to get better after season 2
They mentioned some of the season 3 storylines and the answer is "no"
It played it too safe in the second season, even the humor had a downgrade
>It played it too safe in the second season
Ironic
>plays it too safe

It's already a classic and the ending only helped it
TGAMM will be remembered as the last DTVA show to be cancelled before a change in policy regarding renewals.

get the hint. episodic is for morons
it was not episodic, it just got stale after season 1
I feel like in 5-10 years people will remember this like Brandy n Mr Whiskers or Jake Long. Some disney channel "oldie" that not everyone watched or liked it, but those who did it holds a special place in their hearts.
If Libby was the star, it would have been renewed for 10 more seasons
Lara in a lead role like this would have been great. She'd have probably gotten to sing more as well.
She voiced Clifford the Big Red Dog one time
Did she? Huh, I sometimes forget she shows up a lot in those kind of shows a lot.
if the show was about the girls instead of the wacky cartoon mascot the show would've been more popular.
but enough about amphibia.

Elaborate? What about the show made it too modern to be a classic?
Forced diversity like include autistic people.
Doesn’t it have periods too? That really puts off people.
You can't force diversity.
You sure can.
