movie was mid
shows peak was unironically season 1 and 2 when it was funny comedy with plot every once in a while but still not taking itself so seriously to the point of parody
7 fricking seasons and a movie is pretty good, they themselves said that they just kinda made this shit up as they went along
idk if we really need ANOTHER season of this
Naw like halfway through season 1 all the way to the finale of 4 is the peak. 5 is the most redundant season, but still entertaining. 6 and 7 are good, better than most say, but still a peg or two below the peak. Overall a 9/10 show that only gets shit for its release schedule and production times.
I didnt love the early seasons on first watch but now i think its some if the funniest parts of the show. Sargasso and the Joy Can especially are hilarious the whole time with basically no breaks.
"all loose ends" >we never saw triana again >we have no idea what the OSI is doing with Jonas head >we never learned what the investors planned >we never saw killinger again >we never learned why copy-cat wanted the teleporter >we never learned how the movie lady (forgot her name) was able to fund and/or create arch >we never learned what the deal with the bear costumed mf was
Triana never really mattered
Jonas is finally dead and that’s pretty conclusive
The investors origins is a real plot thread, but they’re also dead
Killinger finished his character arc and left his work to the new council
Copy cat wanted the teleporter to be able to rob shut and make more money
Arch wasn’t real anon, she set up a good looking office building that tried to frame her ex. She has money the same reason rusty does, inherited
Bear costume is a hanging thread, but not enough to justify another season
The only MAJOR plot thread left is rustys mother, I would like the show to get its full 100 episodes but it ended nicely with the movie
Scare bear is just another imaginary friend Hank started hallucinating when he hit his head
I guess you could have him be the one imaginary friend Hank still has since he is not in the movie
Hank didn't invent batman but still has a batman personality
Hank probably saw scare bear and it had an impression on him since it's scary as shit and then internalized it the same way he did everything else
>we never saw triana again
And you never will that bridge is gone bro >we have no idea what the OSI is doing with Jonas head
I'll give you that >we never learned what the investors planned
They wanted to rule the world. I feel like they have some weird vampires rules that only allow them to work through contracts. Makes you wonder what the difference between vampires and blackulas >we never saw killinger again
More of a not enough screen time. I'm sure he's still doing his usual thing >we never learned why copy-cat wanted the teleporter
Money. Just doing the hiest that ends up hik just getting it. My only problem is isn't awkward if you back stab your team and you still in the guild with them? >we never learned how the movie lady (forgot her name) was able to fund and/or create arch
Guild royalty. Sure her dad left her a lot of money, the mom satysfied with using the money on her zoo. >we never learned what the deal with the bear costumed mf was
This I feel is another dead bridge situation that's not going to get resolved even if they continue.

To be fair, that's kind of the joke. he Guild is all about codifying bad behavior into a quasi-functional system. Dr Mrs even says that the Guild practically encourages double crosses. The only recourse is either take your lumps and laugh at the LARP because you treat Villainy like an interesting job, or you treat it like office politics sit on your grudge then wait for your turn to use the rules against them.
They forced a few threads to be rushed but Id’d still like to see how Rusty and the Monarchs relationship evolves, the time travel shenanigans that were planned, who was Scare Bear, where does Hank go from here, etc. And theres more open possibilities like Jonas’s head and final confirmation of what happened at movie night. Or failing all that I’d be beyond happy just to see more adventures.
I’d like that. I think the last two seasons (especially the blue morpho arc) are some of the best most creative television ever. I really think there’s a good deal left to explore with the characters and sole fun episodes left of them interacting.
>give them a ‘final’ movie where they had to cut out a bunch of story+characters to end the series >oh wait, you guys may get another season after all
what the frick
I'll say this, the fact that they went to NYCC and the head honchos of adult swim said anything resembling a possible continuation shows a weakness from AS that we can take advantage of.
While rushed and a little sloppy, I think the movie was a decent wrap up to the Venture Bros story. What we really need is an Order of the Triad spinoff.
Am I the only one who just felt let down by the "donated eggs" reveal?
Not even like a "nothing" reveal but like you actually wanted to see the relationship that Rusty had fricked up.
Dang. It's too bad they didn't just give them a season instead of a movie where everything had to be rushed. If they continued the show what do they do? It would be weird that the movie rushed all this stuff but then there is more storey to tell. I mean I would like it but I feel like that's what fans always say before something goes on too long.
I think the movie just wrapped up the most major of plot beats while leaving things open in a "The adventure continues!" kind of way. I think we could learn about Movie Night, Jonas's head, the OSI, and see more of Doc and Monarch's relationship grow.

gah, NOW you want them back?
you could have given them that whole thing as a season, but noooo.
seriously it's like so many things, we don't want them back NOW, we want them back -when they got canceled-
They could pull a South Park and make a movie each year instead of seasons.
I would kinda like a epilogue season after the movie. Rusty and Monarch being revealed as clones and there is also Debbie.
>shows peak was unironically season 1 and 2
The most normie take imaginable
HOW
Asked like someone who wasn't alive when the first season aired and assumes the cult following was the only following.

I hope they give them a real budget.
you made them conclude the entire arc and all loose ends
it's too late, you should have gotten your last season when you wanted it

i could really keep going

Scare bear was meant to be Hank Venture from the future I think.
Scare bear is just another imaginary friend Hank started hallucinating when he hit his head
I guess you could have him be the one imaginary friend Hank still has since he is not in the movie
but dean and sirena saw scarebear, too
He also auditioned to be a part of the revenge society so phantom limb baron underbite and doctor impossible have met him
oh, yeah
Hank didn't invent batman but still has a batman personality
Hank probably saw scare bear and it had an impression on him since it's scary as shit and then internalized it the same way he did everything else

That was weird honestly

I think the whole Billy and Rusty time travelers scene it more serious
It* is
god damn
The Billy and Rusty time travelling bit actually makes me want a season of them dicking around with the time stream.
They forced a few threads to be rushed but Id’d still like to see how Rusty and the Monarchs relationship evolves, the time travel shenanigans that were planned, who was Scare Bear, where does Hank go from here, etc. And theres more open possibilities like Jonas’s head and final confirmation of what happened at movie night. this feels insulting. pitch them a spin-off and if they bite they bite if not, whatever
I’d like that. I think the last two seasons (especially the blue morpho arc) are some of the best most creative television ever. I really think there’s a good deal left to explore with the characters and sole fun episodes left of them interacting.

>come back! you need us!
They removed gullible from the dictionary, can you believe it?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I'll say this, the fact that they went to NYCC and the head honchos of adult swim said anything resembling a possible continuation shows a weakness from AS that we can take advantage of.
The movie wrapped the series up nicely. Where do they go from here?
The Monarch processing the fact that he's part of the Venture family.
but he already did that in the final scene of the movie.
it was like 1 minutes at most and he only pressed it so he could taunt venture with hyping himself up
wouldnt mind getting a more solid idea of what the boys are going to try to do with their lives in the immediate future
While rushed and a little sloppy, I think the movie was a decent wrap up to the Venture Bros story. What we really need is an Order of the Triad spinoff.
I would like an epilogue season followed by a series of fun adventure movies that don't carry much plot weight.
They should just do a Team Fortress series.
why would that happen instead?
Am I the only one who just felt let down by the "donated eggs" reveal?
Not even like a "nothing" reveal but like you actually wanted to see the relationship that Rusty had fricked up.
let it die let it die. stop trying to remake the tick
did it get deleted because its true or because its false
Probably because it was already posted further up.
that one looks shooped tho
i guess i was hoping the mods know something i dont
something good, anyway
Makes sense seeing as Justin Roiland screwed the pooch and tainted the Rick and Morty brand WB needs a franchise.
I guess we're back, baby
See you all in another 5 years!
Subarashii

Would you guys rather see a brand new season or a more fleshed out version of the movie?
Brand new season but I'd hope they'd use ideas and scenes that they cut for the movie
