I haven't watched the original yet, but felt the remake was somewhat bland, barely anyone is actually killed by the elevator.

Doesn't feel like horror even though it's in the horror category. Not original idea but probably the first time it's been done in a horror movie. The male mc's acting is off putting. It doesn't feel like he's actually acting but playing himself.

        Anonymous

The morality of the characters are questionable. They didn't even bother to try to warn townspeople about the danger of the alien, choosing instead to keep it a secret and profit off of it. The brother and sister got ridiculous plot armor. Made no sense that the creature didn't eat them simply because they didn't look at it even though the creature had no visible eyes. The movie compares that behavior with a horse being frightened, which made zero sense.

Terrifier 3 and Late Night with the Devil. Also hoping M3gan 2.0 is good because I enjoyed M3gan and the director's previous movie Housebound, hope he continues doing movies because there was a huge gap in between those two.

I can't vouch for Late Night with the Devil because I haven't seen it yet, but it had very positive reactions at festivals and it looks fun. I'm excited to check it out.
Definitely recommend Housebound if you liked M3gan. Has a similar 'dry humor' style where the things happening are silly but it takes itself seriously. The director makes fun movies and afaik he's doing M3gan 2.0 as well.

I love the Saw films so it’s natural that I liked it. The part where he threw the German Shepard with the flaming trash bin on its head at the collector who proceeded to blow it into pieces mid air almost brought me to tears with laughter and I had to rewind it a couple times kek

The Rezort (2015), on the surface it's Jurassic Park with zombies, but it's actually a red pill about how charities for refugees can actually be exploitative and predatory human traffickers. The film started out with praises for the happy merchant who runs the Rezort as businesswoman of the year, as a humanitarian, and then reveals that she's an animal worse than the zombies.

Unbelievable that no one outside heard their pleas for help, and they didn't try other ways to escape.

I haven't seen this but I looked it up and it says the girl is Persian, not African.

dude, in the movie, she plays an african. out of all the people they could've picked for the only other person in the film set in France, they pick a colored female.

You might not have known the name but I'd be shocked if you've never heard it before, theremins are/were used commonly in soundtracks.

I watched the Fargo season 5 episode where it’s Halloween and the house gets broken into and it was pretty scary. I was really high though

Here’s a fun one. What are some horror movies where characters get cut in half? But not cut in half across the waist, separating the butt and legs from the torso, and also not cut in half the Bone Tomahawk/Terrifier way, but instead cut in half in the same way you’d slice a 12oz steak in half if you were making two 6oz steaks. Cut in half exposing the internal organs and such.

I've only seen 9 movies this year so far, all horror. I just watched this and it surprised me that a remake was actually pretty good.

    >big breasts everywhere
    >everyone's white
    >gore and practical effects are pretty good
    >shannon elizabeth playing a goth girl
    >kino horror punk and goth metal soundtrack
Furlong was a shitty casting decision since I hate that fat frick, but he still did a good job. I typically hate horror movies post-y2k but this is one of the good ones.
