Dream Scenario? There were some spooky scenes, but it's not a horror movie. It was one of my favorite films of last year.
It's very good. Not really horror outside few nightmare scenes, but more of mix of psychological drama and black comedy (it's really funny). Seconding the other anon by saying it's thus far the best movie of the year for me. It also has important subtext as it criticizes the cancel culture.
As for other Cage horror kino, there's Colour Out Of Space and Willy's Wonderland. Longlegs releases later this year.

It’s similar to the Blair Witch. It was amazing at the time due to lack of internet. There were already ghost shows and it was met with less skepticism then. A lot of people had no idea what this really was when it broadcast. The ending where the spirit takes over the studio and the presenter was fricking terrifying as a young child. It was kinda funny, you could see who had bad parents by which kids turned up terrified the next morning and it was all they could talk about.
That makes sense. I guess I should have read up a bit on it first.

well, at that time, when the trailer came out, it was a nice fancy artsy movie and it was special and looked good and unique. I wouldnt call the Witch overrated. But A24 and its rep and cuck and nig slops definitely dragged the Witch into it as time went on.

It's a disgusting movie, one of the only ones that's really got a reaction out of me (Saw 3 did as well) but it's also a comfy and enjoyable movie. It's like Ginger Snaps or Carrie and a lot of the cinematography inside the school feels Suspiria-inspired. Also Justine is cute, and the soundtrack is very nice like you said.
I honestly thought I was going to find the finger scene revolting but the slow tease into it and the music made it feel like such a badass and triumphant moment
