Why wasn't he in the show? If they wanted a black character with a bit of prominence they could have just given him a couple speaking scenes. I'd buy the slight upgrade.
They cut a bunch of courtiers and tertiary characters in the show that they shouldn't have. What's stupid is how they changed the races of other characters like Salladhor Saan and Areo Hotah in order to balance out cutting actual black characters like Jhalabar and Sarella Sand.
