Smart. Another risky thing they can do is a villain who openly trashes the idea of truth, justice and the American way. Parrot all the negative talking points cynics on social media say about Superman. Look down on good old fashioned virtue and righteousness. Something like Superman vs Elite but with actual substance. Then have Superman prove why these values are universal.
But I sincerely doubt that something like this will happen. Gunn is going to make superman conform to woke ideals and the modern day conception of a "proper" man(weak, sappy, beta male you see in the superman show).
