How can i expand my comics knowledge to the max without having to read everything. I want obese comic shop owner level culture. Ideally creators that summarize popular franchises or wiki-like websites. Help me do the nerd equivalent of gymmaxxing.

Make up literally everything and with full confidence.
Batman #69 is the only issue thus far to have full frontal Batgirl nudity.
Issue #88 has a merchant reference
Kek i would but my goal is mainly bragging and being an insufferable elitist
Batman #34 is MUCH better than #69, it's all about the tease you tasteless frick. There's just fewer copies in circulation so plebes like you haven't read it, but I have all three covers in my collection.
>Batman #34 is MUCH better than #69
No one speaks about single issues like this.
Comicvine and other online wikis are a good way to get all the information on various characters. I used to have the DC Encyclopedias and I know Marvel has something like that as well but unless they kept making updated versions then those are dreadfully behind current canon or even canon from ten years ago.
>Comicvine and other online wikis are a good way to get all the information on various characters
I don’t see how this is enjoyable. Why do you losers do this? If you don’t care enough to read the comics why do you discuss them?
It's using the comics as an excuse to enjoy socializing, rather than the other way around. Normies have been gentrifying the nerd colonies since the 90s with no end in sight, get with the times.
You know that's nearly impossible to find and read every single comic Batman and Spider-Man ever show up right?
If you really are interested on Marvel and DC characters it's pretty much impossible to not read the wikis.
That's one of the reasons why the Big 2 comics died out.
>you have to read every comic Spider-Man has ever been in.
This is a symptom of a much larger problem you’re having.
Stick to manga. It unintentionally caters to you.
You c**ts are insufferable
>you're a poser unless you know everything about comics
>but also don't learn, just stick to manga
You really expect people to be born with innate knowledge on comic or else stick to normie shit. Insufferable
Yeah, we're horrible. That's why you should leave!
Frick no. Guys like you are the very reason I made this thread, I wanna force my way through the gates to get past gatekeepers
Personally I use it for information on characters so I don't have to read every single thing about them. Sometimes it's hard to know everything that happened to them. I can also use Comicvine to give me the exact issues where that character appears in all series in case I do want to read it. It's really useful.
How to obtain knowledge of comics:
1.) Go to a library
2.) Pick a comic that looks good off the shelf.
3.) Read it
4.) If it's good, finish it; if it's not, don't.
5.) Repeat.
If you want to be an annoying know-it-all who doesn't actually know anything, then just pick random comics that nobody has heard of and say they're the best, and pick comics everyone's heard of and repeat the most common critisisms. For example: Alann Moore is too wordy, Superhero comics have gone on for too long, garfield is boomershit. Hell, if you get good enough at mindlessly regurgitating surface level opinions created by other people, you could even start up a successful youtube show telling people slightly stupider than you what to think! Always remember though: You must always present your opinion as objective truth.
>how can I achieve gainz
>with zero effort
Why are zoomers like this? At least previous generations just accepted being useless if they had no interest in exerting effort.
It's called having better things to do than read about flying men in spandex, shitlips.
To be le epic knowledge wizard and focus on comics i actually wanna read instead. That way i don't miss a crumb
>I want to be able to say I’m a huge fricking nerd that’s read every comic and knows a lot of pop culture
>wait lol, you actually want me to read???
Just pick a book that looks good and try it. If you dont like it stop reading and try another. If you keep reading you shall eventually find a few books you do like, which you can then use as a starting point to find other things you think are cool. For example, if a book has an art style you like, look for books with the same artist or similiar artists. If the creative team that made the comic has also made other comics, try them out as well. The only way to obtain taste is to try a lot of shit out, and if that seems like too much work then don't worry about it and try a hobby you find more fun.
I'm sorry anon you have to read everything.
Read comics.
No shit but I can't read every single series, ain't nobody got time for that
Good tip thank you anon
Read comics and constantly google the names of every character.
