No it didn’t. When it starts she already stuck the iceberg. Nude scene is before that happens. Last line of dialogue in the first VHS tale was captain Smith saying “you may have your headline” or something along those lines.

Based knower anon. Titanic inspired two lifelong passions in me as a lad. History, and music. The Titanic was the first thing I ever did real historical research on, starting at age 10. I also thought the musicians playing Nearer my God to Thee was beautiful, so I started to take violin lesson, also at age 10. I'm now 24 years old, have a history degree (with a good job, don't worry about that), and to this day I still play the violin.

It scares me that millions of women saw this character and said "she's literally me". It does however make me feel better about being a jobless, broke, NEET loser. The only problem is women won't consider a film to be a good love story unless the man literally kills himself.

Should I just move to Malibu and live in my car and hang out at coffee shops pretending to be a sensitive writer working on a book until some rich girl cheats on her millionaire husband to be with me and takes half of his money to start a new life with me?

My friend is a professional musician and didn't start hating women until his next door neighbor with a husband overseas in Iraq fricked him.

He blamed himself for a really long time and felt guilty but when he told me the story he put absolutely no effort into trying to frick her and she made continual passes at him until he was shitfaced drunk one night and she just showed up on his doorstep and he finally relented.

I don't get why a man would voluntarily join the US military in this day and age unless he was a closet homosexual who wanted to actively spend his early 20s around sweaty men and I think women pick up on that sort of thing and get very upset about it.

Not an American, but for some it's cultural/patriotic thing, and from what I heard, it's also way of a very quick climb up the social/economic ladder. You come back from a deployment at 24, and suddenly everyone respects you when they hear you're a veteran, and the dough is real nice if you're not some STEM chad. Whatever his motivations were, he did not deserve to be cucked.

I'm not responding again after this. Prior to titanic, all the movies topping the highest grossing were shit like ET and Star Wars, and Titanic came along and made twice as much money and played in theatres twice as long. Multiple blockbusters come out every year. Back then, they never broke records like they do know, because they didn't have the massive inflation or expanding international markets.

The romance isnt shitty, the story is actually quite good, u all need to se the difference between story, and dialogue writing (this is the only weak part of this movie). Performances are good, casting is perfect, especially Leo and Kate, both looks great, they have chemistry. Production design is amazing, costume design is amazing, cinematography is great, soundtrack is amazing. Technical stuff are all top notch sfx etc... The film is objectively great in almost every part of filmmaking, except some cringe dialogues. Its soulful movie, non-pretentious with heart in right place. The pacing is also great, story structure is good, first half bult the romance well, to the second half with hitting the iceberg just punch more because of that. One of the best movies of all time.

violently turning over a table full of food to intimidate a woman is abusive
imagine your daughter's fiance doing some shit like that in front of you for a minute. would you just say "welp, not my problem i guess" like a cuck?

also she didn't even love the guy to begin with which is enough to not want to marry someone. her prostitute mother was forcing the marriage because they were falling on hard times and didn't want to lose the life she had grown accustomed to, and was perfectly willing to force her daughter into a loveless marriage.

in reality the mother was the worst person in the social circle. she forces rose into this sham relationship when rose doesn't even like cal, and that causes her to act bratty which causes cal to get angrier and angrier.
it would have been best if she never entered the relationship and led cal on, but rose's mother architected this entire heartbreak so she could stay eating caviar.

There was plenty of criticism of her and how she wouldn't move over on that raft for Jack but other than showing her breasts she was mostly an afterthought in the movie after the much more compelling Jack character & the groundbreaking visuals. Her breasts were a big part of the appeal tho like as a dude I went and saw Titanic knowing about the scene, as an adolescent boy that didn't yet have access to the world's most depraved pornography it was reason enough to watch and rewatch a movie. The gender war as we know it didn't exist yet in the mainstream, "feminist" was literally a dirty word in the last 90s so people upset with the opposite gender just kept to themselves as opposed to broadcasting it to a bunch of other miserable fricks.
