Erm but is this not the scene where Spiderman's trying to keep the train together so he can deliver the Black folk and israelites to Doc Ock's nu-Aushwitz?
For those who want to be part of this epic Cinemaphile forced meme there are three easy steps.
Step 1: This is considered the most important step. See what movie this epic Cinemaphile meme is being applied to today. Most of the time it's the older Sam Raimi Spiderman movies but since these threads die very fast the guys that force this apply it to other movies now. This thread however uses the Raimi Spiderman meme. Please pay attention.
Step 2: Take an iconic scene in the movie, any will do as long as people remember the scene. Greentext a quote from the scene and twist the words to use anti semitisim, racism, homophobia or any other edgy as frick topic. Go nuts, the sky is the limit! The more vulgar it is the more epic the meme is. This takes us to the final step.....
Step 3: Make a regular post, taking the position of a normal person and pretend to be disgusted by that scene. I know, I know, this is Cinemaphile, a site where gore flows like fine wine but that's what makes this meme edgy, wacky and zany. We pretend to be offended by that fake scene. Funny huh?
Now that you understand how to do this, have fun kids. Happy memeing!
I pity the morons who will never experience what was like to grow up and see the best spider man and not that Black person or zoomer homosexual who fricks that monkey.
One of the best superhero movies of all time for a reason.
Rami is pure camp. Not quite Burton elder god camp tier but very close. You are confusing aesthetic appearances with screen writing and direction. That's par for the course for the unthinking masses that judge everything by aesthetics and honestly based. Image and gesture rule reality and the squawking words of the vessels are as meaningless as a parrot's rote memorized phrases.
the movies feel very comic book and cartoony, but interspersed with heartfelt moments
also the fact that every character plays an archetypal role much like legends and folktales
also the fact that NYC is very important to the setting
tldr it's a complete story
not to be compared with mcu movies which are mainly badly done CGI pew pew pew fights and setting up the next slop
why did Peter not realize that MJ did not actually love him? she spent 15 years chasing chads and only decided to settle for him after she realized he was Spider-Man and not before.
I know that this term gets thrown around a lot on here but a lot of super hero films feel very dishonest, where as Riami‘s are perfectly fine with leaning into the corniness of it all. Also I can’t remember any points in the first two where they had Whedon style humor but feel free to correct me on that.
The Raimi movies struck the perfect balance between camp and serious. No Whedon humor either. Superior Raimi/Tapert humor. It helps that Raimi is an actual filmmaker unlike Whedon.
Peter seems real to you because he has horrible luck and the universe works against him instead of for him. The jokes also don't under cut any of the drama.
Modern cynical filmmaking destroyed these kinda movies.
Raimi's spiderman had a sincerity that nu-marvel capeshit can't stand. They gotta throw a zimbabwe-shwarma joke in every little potentially serious moment so the audience knows not to start caring about anything that's going on.
Raimi's movies it's okay to get invested in - see OP's train scene as an example. They are just making a good comicbook movie instead of catering to cynical numales.
Because unlike the MCU or the DCEU Spider-Man actually interacts with the normal people who he saves. He is one of them himself. Furthermore, these characters are written like they are real people in real situations. They are written with sincerity and they are acted out like they are real people rather than a quippy homosexual.
The film making style is a bit more naturalistic with more natural lighting than today. Film also helps.
>Samurai Jack was an extra in that scene
how did I not notice?
What? Surely a black man could not voice an Asian character. That's wrong

It probably helps that he's the only Superhero in his universe
Limited use of CGI and shot on film. Natural lighting when possible.
I pity the morons who will never experience what was like to grow up and see the best spider man and not that Black person or zoomer homosexual who fricks that monkey.

I hate with all my being that Spider-Man will be forever shoe horned with that homosexual because of some cuck with "my wife's kids".
>spider man 2 the weekend it released in a full theater with popcorn and a slushie
it was better times
Indeed frick zooomers
it helps that they weren't made by disney

Stop squawking

These movies have some of the most memorable extras
It was pure kino
They don't. The Raimi Spiderman films have some of the most distracting and hilariously awful extras in film history.
Remove your nostalgia goggles.

Darkman alone is better than the MCU.
American directors are just plain better. Sorry europoors
Someome ppst MJ
Just Peter and the extras, pretty much everyone else looked and FELT like an actor
Peter seems real to you because he has horrible luck and the universe works against him instead of for him. The jokes also don't under cut any of the drama.
holy heck is that the voice actor of samurai jack?
I actually love this movie so fricking much it's unreal
