    >The fact that its stars were ON STRIKE, and unable to promote it at all.
    >The ongoing right wing grift hate campaign against its top billed performer.
    >The new storm of FALSE bullshit surrounding its director.
    >The fact that it’s a more diverse film than the first one.
    >The fact that one of the shows it follows underperformed on streaming (EXCEPT in POC households), *because* of general misogyny, Islamophobia, people not taking teenage girls seriously, and getting sent out to die against legacy Star Wars (Kenobi).
    >The fact that this is the first project taking the specific bullet of “parts of the build-up were behind a paywall.” It won’t be the last thing to experience this for Marvel, for Marvel & Lucasfilm, for Disney overall, or for Hollywood in general, but OF COURSE, it has to be the film starring a diverse trio of women, directed by a Black woman, that goes out and deals with this landscape first. Not Cap 4, or the Filoni SW film, or Avengers, or anything else that will surely have to climb this hill.
    >The fact that box office numbers have largely taken a hit in general. That’s just been a reality post-COVID. Outside of some instances, like Barbenheimer, a ton of stuff has underperformed (comic book AND otherwise - like Dead Reckoning). Even Guardians 3 dipped from 2.
    >The fact that fans of this particular world who complained nonstop about the films being too interconnected for Phases 1-3 are now complaining that they AREN’T building to a connected goal nearly ENOUGH. Audience training is, once again, a key factor. So, this not getting the “watch this next” boost from something like Infinity War now hurts it a lot more in terms “perceived importance.”

I know you're deliberately baiting but at least some of this is correct, minus your trigger words.

Well, Mr. Marvel exec... since you stopped by.
    I'll tell you the truth.
The real truth, not what your gaybase on X says.
    Nobody likes ugly women.
    Nobody.
And the three b***hes in this movie? They're all beat.
One of them has moon craters where her ass should be, looks like a man and is generally not liked.
One looks like a fat mexican boy.
And one... well... you figure it out.
You want people to give a shit about a three-heroine movie? Get some hot girls with big juicy asses and fat breasts into those skintight suits.
Otherwise... enjoy your dismal ticket sales.

        >Charlie's Angels sold poorly

the remake had more in common with Captain Marvel aesthetically than it did with the campy sexiness of the 2000s movies (which succeeded)

Hey cornpop, here's the reason why
    >People are just growing tired of super hero movies in general
    >Marvel has had a rough last few years with many mid to outright bad movies and a very select few good ones
    >Captain Marvel was never a character a bunch of people were hyped about in the first place, let alone the other two
    >In order to even know who the other two are, you need to watch multiple TV shows
    >There's 0 sex appeal. Men and women like looking at sexy women. Men want to frick sexy women and women want to be sexy women. These characters might as well be wearing rolled up carpets
    >The multiverse shit isn't as thrilling to audiences as the infinity stones and Thanos so there's less reason to care about these movies in case they're important to whatever Kang the Jobber is working on
    >Look at that poster. It looks like a Spy Kids sequel
    >Women aren't the main audience for super hero movies and trying to force them to get invested over a decade after these films started just isn't going to work, any more than you could force men to care about Twilight
    Anyways, enjoy my fan art.

That's fanart? It looks just like the movie poster. Incredible job, anon. You captured her likeness perfectly.

    >Phase 4 being lackluster means the MCU is no long associated with the level of quality it once was
    >Fans aren't invested in whatever the overarching story of the multiverse saga is supposed to be. A big reason for that is the way Kang has been handled, especially in Quantumania.
    >Even though the Captain Marvel movie was popular fans really didn't take to the character Captain Marvel
    >Even though fans and critics liked Ms. Marvel not many people bothered to watch her show. The fans of the MCU feel like the Disney+ show are like homework
    >Spectrum was only in WandaVision. While people like that show and it was popular, her character seemed kind of stupid.
    >Secret Invasion was so terrible that it made the inclusion of Nick Fury no longer a sell.

    >nah man it's cool you just need to watch
    >wandavision
    >ms marvel
    >captain marvel 1
    >secret invasion

    >also the movie's going to be included on that service you just watched the other 4 things on in like 3 months but you should totally go out and see it right now

      >what do you mean captain marvel was a bait and switch and totally fricking irrelevant to Endgame
      >it's fun
Just 3 tv series and that shitty movie, trust me, bro
      >you're not a violent, virulent, racist, homophobic, transphobic incel are you?

Flerkin/Iman walkups were blocked by incels at every theater around the weorld. When people say that incels tanked this movie, it is not meant metaphorically.

    >Captain Marvel had a mixed reaction despite the $1 billion box office.
    >Disney wanted to push Disney+ which was a problem because people didn't want to subscribe to multiple streamers; some who watched the movies, didn't even bother to subscribe
    >COVID happened which hit Disney's finances in multiple areas
    >Too many Marvel Disney+ and film projects ended up diluting the brand and spreading Feige too thin
    >Marvel and Marvel Studios somehow chose the worst possible decisions to push Ms Marvel and it's compounded by angry Youtubers pushing their narrative that Ms Marvel never sold, while other Youtubers heard that the show was going to be woke, so it's bad PR across the board
    >Ms Marvel ended up one of the lower watched Disney+ shows
    >guy who did rewrites for The Marvels was Zeb Wells, who was getting his own controversy over killing off Ms Marvel in Amazing Spider-Man, along with a lot of people already disliking his ASM run
    >Disney started getting bad PR and underperforming movies over the past years
    >The reception toward MCU Phase 4 and 5 has been mostly bad with some exceptions
    >To watch The Marvels, you needed to have watched Captain Marvel, Wandavision, and Ms Marvel.
    >Movie started having rumors of problems to the point where they needed rewrites and reshoots that delayed the movie to November... while stuff like McDonald's The Marvels Happy Meal toys and Hasbro's Marvels ML wave were already locked in for a summer release
    >The strikes made it harder for studios and performers to promote the film

Women don't give a frick about super heroes, they tolerate them for hot buff guys with their shirts off.

      >Women don't give a frick about super heroes, they tolerate them for hot buff guys with their shirts off.

they want hot females to self-insert as. No surprise Wonder Woman and Aquaman had strong female turnout with romance storylines, or that Thor 1 and 2 had a big Thor/Jane Foster romance angle too.

no surprise Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Scarlet Witch, etc are popular too
