The villains weren't so much Rogue Supers as they were "evil people with gimmicks." The closest they gave us was The Underminer, but, even then, he's just a small dude with mole- and mining-themed villainy. The sequel had a half dozen brainwashed Supers, but none of them were inherently evil.

Everyone else? Bomb Voyage, Syndrome, Evelyn, just your standard human (though there are those that argued Syndrome's creations were the result of a Super-level intellect).

There is that one superhero chick with psychic powers who can hypnotize people, and in her audio file she laughs about how she would steal women's boyfriends away. She's not classified as a villain but they made it sound like she rapes people and also from the way she talks she just felt very morally grey in general.

Sometimes it's fun to have a powered villain that's gone evil just because having their powers give them a superiority complex.

They don't need to be a major antagonist in the movie, but it'd be nice to see Bob actually fighting someone that can take his attacks and give it back to him on the same level. He has to pull his punches with the regular villains because disgruntled humans are really damn fragile. Dash could probably do some serious damage if he threw a full-speed punch or kick into someone (though without his dad's durability, he could really hurt himself, too).

I think there aren't any supervillains because if there were any, they would immediately take over the entire country after superheros got made illegal. If superheros are hiding in secret (which is necessary for the movie's plot to work) then there CAN'T be supervillains because then it doesn't make any fricking sense that the heros are in hiding

We already have this problem on a smaller scale. Gee, sure is CONVENIENT that the Underminer, Bomb Voyage etc. all seemed to immediately stop their criminal activity when the Supers all went away

actually the canon reason villains mostly disappeared after the Supers were forced to retire is that the US government simply took off the kid gloves in handling them, with any villains that didn't get killed either being jailed, retired, or they left the country(since apparently only the US actually banned Supers)

      my rough thoughts for a third movie;

      >picturing it being set a year or two after the second movie, where the first film had Bob as the focus character and the second had Helen as the focus character, this time the focus would be jointly on Dash and Violet with them both dealing with the issues of Puberty as Supers(with Dash being an early bloomer and Violet a late bloomer) as well as being the rising stars of a new generation of Supers that is emerging and finding it's own way due to few of the previous generation still being alive, Violet joining up with an all girl team of teen Supers, while Dash gets drawn towards a new movement espousing Supers Supremacy led by the son of Gamma Jack and this leading to conflict between both the two siblings and the respective halves of the Supers community they've aligned with(Violet with the Establishment, Dash with the Revolutionaries) and them having to resolve their issues before it falls into outright war

Idea was that he was functionally immortal from various life-extension schemes and had luck-based powers that made him impossible to actually defeat. His end goal was basically a global murder suicide since he had grown bored of living forever and always winning. The family is only able to beat him by turning some new "overcharging your ability to the point where it starts tearing you apart" variant of that superpower virus is able to override his luck and allows the family to kill him. Xerek still wins in death though because the whole traumatic messy experience leads to a Bob and Helen divorce with plans for a timeskip of the family eventually starting to come back together.

Dash should be able to run, generate static electricity and shoot lightning. Still annoyed he doesn't have lightning powers

Would super speed work for static build up? I'm not well versed in the physics of it but I'm pretty sure at the speed Dash would be moving would incur an excessive amount of friction and thus heat which would inhibit storing a charge or transmitting one.

Maybe if he had some special gear that holds a charge and thermally insulates the battery from him. Otherwise I think Dash would have more luck using friction to add fire powers to his move set.

We can only hope. The fact that the second movie didn't feature a timeskip continues to bother me.

As far as I'm aware, the NSA is responsible for monitoring and assessing Supers and their potential threats. They're funded by the US government, which comes with several implications ranging from harmless to the sinister. By the events of the first Incredibles, the NSA has been reduced to a glorified witness protection program, dulling their effectiveness to the point of discontinuation in Incredibles 2.

If I wrote Incredibles 3, I'd try to get back to the "suspenseful" style of storytelling in the first film. It's Hitchwiener meets The Truman Show- we introduce a SPECTRE/Justice League-like superhero organization that starts recruiting Supers for commission-based superhero work.

Everything changes when it's revealed that this organization is led by Super radicalist Gamma Jack, formed entirely of ex-NSA members hell-bent on establishing genocidal superiority by targeting their opposition- political lobbyists, foreign countries, etc. When Mr. Incredible discovers this, he enters an extreme state of paranoia as he grapples with dismantling this organization without endangering his family.

How can the Incredibles fight the intangible? And how tempted are the kids to grow up and join this Super alliance?

It would be so easy to have Gamma Jack be the villain in a third movie. Just reveal that he's not actually dead and had been lurking in the shadows. I can imagine him trying to win Bob over by pointing out how he had spent the past fifteen years or so hiding his "true potential" from the world, basically throwing Bob's mindset in the first movie back in his face.

I don't want her to be clumsy forever. Violet's at her best when she shows off how smart and/or capable she can be. I think she could be the most powerful member of the family once she learns how to control her powers, since the only limit to her powers seems to be how hard she's willing to concentrate.

I theoretically like expanding powers in stories, but it has always lead to power creep and insanely godlike powers. See superhero comics like superman or a lot of anime/manga.
It's better to have a clear limit in the beginning and have the character think of how to get around those limits, not breaking them

They should have time travel/muliverse shenanigans where Syndrome never becomes a villain and Gamma Jack leads the supers in a global takeover.

because FASHION, and apparently they kill less women than capes
And I'm glad for that Incredibles was created at a time where feminine fashion was still considered acceptable

Okay outline the plot for Incredibles 3. What powers does the Supervillain have and what do they want

      Anonymous

The villain is Gamma Jack who is revealed to be the brother of Meta Man, and has the extra secret ability to resurrect himself in a reference to the death of Superman arc. Meta Man is also revived and the plot is divided between trying to acclimate the newly resurrected golden age Meta Man to the more cynical modern world and trying to stop Jack from assembling his army of supers in a takeover of the world
Along the way they are also forced to go to Screenslaver and Underminer for help

I would love a third movie where the now adult child of two former superheroes attacks the world and blames the world not caring about them leading to their deaths (by Syndrome).

Would be great conflict because Bob and Helen knew their parents. And that the villain is around Violet’s age, and that Dash/Violet could have easily ended up as them if Bob and Helen were killed by Syndrome.

Comics had Edna's cousin be their family doctor that oversaw those deliveries, but he might as well have just been there solely for paperwork purposes with how easy it had to be for Helen.

Imagine long legged and twiggy but still curvy violet trying to sneak past you but you hear her heels click on the floor, you grab her by her tiny little waist thats so small your hand almost completely wraps around it, she eeps as you pin her lithe little body up against the wall.
She lets out a moan as you grab her tight little ass and squeeze her hips then pull her against you, her moves her leg up and grinds her pelvis against your thighs, she wants it.

Those "Easily cancelled out by forcefields" energy shackles had to have spread out a fair amount in the supervillain community if Syndrome made a fortune being an arms dealer. She could easily get her kicks from being caught on purpose and then sneaking out, maybe get some free augmentation from the pervier ones while she's at it.

You could always count on him for making porn of current events and introducing non-normalgay smut to normalgay masses in a way that didn't make him object and led to them developing tastes.

Basically every Brad Bird script is about how humanity can only be saved by a small, select group of super-exceptional people who are marginalized by society for BEING special and if the rest of us would just get out of their way they would make the world a better place for us. I just described The Incredible, Tomorrowland, and a bunch of other stuff he wrote/directed.

Every villain we see in the incredibles is a normal person using technology for evil ends, because they are not part of the super special in-group. If they were, they would be part of the solution and not the problem. Having an actual supervillain with powers would undercut Brad Bird's personal ideological themes.

The movie is really about Brad Bird's objectivism. Supers can't go rogue for the same reason superior people should be leave free to do whatever they want. It'll always be for the good, it's only stupid normies interfering with progress
