How come western animation hates outros?

In western animation, 90% of the outro is just a black screen with credits, and generic music.
In eastern animation, even when they don't have a budget to animate something for an outro is rarely empty. It would be filled with fun OC stills, while a pop song plays.
Even hentai anime often do this, and they are literally done with a shoestring budget.

I just don't get why western animation hates fun.

Because in broadcasting there is going to be ads playing during the outro, and streaming all but pushes you to skip the credits and immediately start the next episode.

They don't do commercial bumps anymore either

In this age of maximizing exposure, if even one person sits through the credits because of the outro, it'll be considered worth it

There's not an incentive to make a good outro when the network is just going to fast-forward it so they could run 2 more ads. Plus, Western shows don't sell music like anime do.
The only way to stop networks from fast-forwarding credits seems to be to overlay the credits over the last few seconds of the show itself, as American Dad does, or to have post credit scenes like Rick and Morty.

Because US broadcasters almost always cut off, fast forward, or squish the credits in cartoons to make more room in the schedule for ads and network announcements. They'd probably try and cut them entirely if they could get away with it.

Is it any wonder why people moved away from television when shit like this was becoming more common?

Incidentally, it's also why intros in western animation tend to be shorter, and why 15 minute shows tend to be more popular; it's all about more commercial breaks.

It's all about the commercials, you know they cost money right?

I enjoy lowkey outros. Take for example Spongebob Squarepants. Hawaiian music. Nice floral backgrounds. Thematically fits in with the show. Lets you relax and take in what you've just watched. It won't get boring after you've watched it countless times. I think this is really such a nice and normal way to end show, and I appreciate that it exists. I don't dislike anime endings, but I feel like pretty much all of them use vocal music, and I don't always care for that, especially if it doesn't fit. I also do quite enjoy how formal "normal" endings are, and the boundary they create, but maybe that's just because I'm a boring adult.

Have you ever actually watched Japanese TV? It's like sensory overload. But in the US, it's not entirely different in many cases. Glad I'm European.

holy shit this, it's not really flashy or having the characters do random shit for the sake of it, it just works as a nice closer on it's on. Something that I like about Western intros (when they used to be longer) is how the songs would connect more to the themes or just the general idea of the show. Anime intro songs and visuals are cool and work but they usually all kind of have a formula and way of presenting itself. Hell, sometimes you don't even need a 1 min song for your show to make something iconic and nice.

I'm of that opinion that more cartoons need absolute fricking bangers for theme songs.

I agree, especially for action shows like what you posted, but I don't think the idea of a short and simple intro is bad as long as the execution is good

Because it either gets pushed to the side or cut out, for room for promos or ads.
It bothered the hell out of me as a kid when CN would skip the puppet segments of Chowder.

It's so simple, it's just forward moving camera with mountain pngs and white background
but it works, can't wait for Netflix live-action to just have a black screen for credits

Eyecatches are pretty neat, too. I'd like to see those more often in western animation.
