I don't understand how people can watch this shit and rate it so highly. the writing was beyond abysmal, all the information you learn through the series is completely worthless because an asspull will happen right at the end of each plotline to resolve it. also half of the show is pointless exposition or literally completely irrelevant making you wonder why it's in the show at all (the general and his husband)

That's the same as the book. I don't know why people hold it in such high esteem, no character in the book has any agency, they just wait for another foretold asspull to save the day.
