I would improve the visuals to not make it look like a video-game.

The story was...meh. It had fine parts to it, and Driver as usual is a good actor. But nobody could save that movie with that plot or the CGI.
I was mostly bored thru the movie, but not by Driver. The usual movie tropes definitely hurt it.
I thought it was going to end up that the voyage was sabotaged on purpose and Adam Driver and the dicky would be the first humans on Earth.
This was my assumption too and while goofy and predictable might actually have been fun to watch. As is, there's no connecting tissue that makes any of it seem like a story worth telling. You have aliens who look exactly like humans for no reason. They crash on Earth, but besides the audience knowing it's Earth that has no meaning for anyone. Then they take off without leaving a trace.
Did the film go through rewrites? It would have made sense if they were Adam and Eve

It was fine for a disposable one-time flick. It wasn't trying to be a masterpiece, or even great.
Add some more survivors/dino food and set it on a future Earth or new planet. Basically remake Planet of Dinosaurs.

I know it probably would have been pandering, but since it was already sci fi weapons, he should have gotten some sort of laser sword and done some of his Kylo Ren moves
I turned it off after 25 minutes it looked so cheap.
The child was an awful plot line. Either go completely silent film like The Red Turtle or write an interesting story.

I guess it only got made because it was an "Adam Driver Project". Everything else about it is unimaginative, and uninspired.

The whole film shoulda gone the "Dino Crisis" route and it coulda been salvageable. Adam's really comfortable doing physical stunts too, so its not the actors woulda minded.

This. Having fantasy monsters is stupid if the draw is supposed to be actual dinosaurs. The whole reason it's interesting is because they're actual animals; otherwise it's a movie about fighting mythical dragons.

You have to change the story completely.
Scrap that trime travel bullshit.
Also, you're gonna need more people, if you only have two characters you know they're not gonna die (at least until the very end). Make it more like The Thing where you're not sure who's going to make it or if they're all going to die.
Change localizations. If you want to keep the ship crashing add another one much bigger and that's somewhat intact that crash landed somewhere else. Make it the "arena" for the climax. Like maybe they have to get to that bigger ship to either get it working or try to find a smaller ship within it that can take off. Once they're inside then have whatever dino of your choice (maybe they could be a handful) be already there when the surviving protags get there and they have to sneak past them, try to find a weapon that can take them down (it'd be better if the movie didn't have "magic pew pew" weapons that can do whatever the plot decides they do) and try to escape by the skin of their teeth.
