Vader in the OT was fighting a geriatric Kenobi that wanted to die anyway and later his son that he was just trying to talk into joining him.
Later on he basically also jobbed to his son on purpose because he turned good.
Star Wars has had a power creep problem for a very long time and to keep Vader menacing in the current canon he has to be way overpowered compared to how he was portrayed in the OT
the same thing happened in the old EU
I get that but if Obi Wan could outduel a 22 year old normal anakin surely he could beat a 32 year frankenstein anakin

What pisses me off more about Vader is that because of the prequels Anakin/Vader just ended up as a dickhead simpleton before he turned into Vader.
The OT implied due to his commanding presence and general know-how about how the Empire works that he has this high IQ component to him on top of being an enforcer.
But in the PT all he does is b***h and moan and act like a bully. At no point was he a decent human being, let alone "good".
If Padme didn't put out he'd have probably raped someone eventually, even while on the jedi council. And he'd turn evil even if Palpatine didn't exist.
Kid anakin was alright. Padawan Anakin was an impulsive dickhead with lots of issues. RotS Anakin was the hero he was meant to be. He was resourceful, he was cunning, he was powerful. But the Jedi had failed him and he was aware that something was wrong. Palpatine had literally groomed him into being a Darth, fueling his dark nature.
RotS Anakin is peak Anakin because he is a badass and a great hero BUT he is also a very vulnerable person full of doubts. Vader kills that person and goes full beast mode.
>have visions of mom dying horribly >she dies >have visions of Padme dying horribly >Yoda: lol she'll be fine just like forget about it bro. Also repress your emotions.
Also Qui Gon was THE perfect master for Anakin but Obi Wan too much of a Jedi poster boy. Without Qui Gon and with Palps fricking up with him he ended up screwing himself up. Finally Dooku was right and the Republic had turned the Jedi into enforcers bound by its rules when Jedi should follow the will of the force alone.
It's actually very accurate for both legends and canon Vader. In fact this is nothing compared to the shit he does in the comics. It's been nice to see him mog everyone in Rogue One, Fallen Order and this.
Theres no reason Vader should be any stronger than Anakin in Revenge and really he should be a lot weaker.
It doesn’t even look like The Emperor we saw fight yoda could be the Vader in this show
The only edge Palpatine had over him is lightning which would disable Vader's life support and limbs and also the fact he kept promising "how to create life".
Palpatine also had an out for that particular topic. He could say that before his crippling Vader had more force potential so now that he is diminished he can't help Palpatine puzzle out the secret (even though he's lying).
That's why Palpatine and Vader are generally not doing much on that front and why Palpatine wants Luke as the next apprentice.
Even per Lucas he was supposed to get more powerful over time, just never reaching what he would have been able to whether it's because he got butchered (kind of a shitty explanation, really) or because he's a psychological mess.
But, for obvious reasons, even inviting this shit into the story was a stupid idea that was the result of another stupid idea.
His injuries from Obi-Wan are intended to be the biggest reason he never became as strong as he should have been. For instance he can't summon Force lightning because of his artificial limbs and that it would short out his life support. And obviously his mobility was greatly limited.
This show has already had dogshit writing throughout, but what possible explanation can be given for Vader and the Grand Wizard not finishing her off?
As stupid of a plan as letting that impulsive moron hunt Kenobi was to begin with, at least it was a plan with a start and finish. They're done with her. Chop her head off or something. Why is Darth Vader of all people not being thorough with his kills?
Imagine if Romans, after crucifying Jesus, basically pulled him off the cross, fixed up his wounds and shipped him off to Rome to fight in the colosseum as a gladiator and told everyone he went to heaven. Now imagine if Jesus, due to his divinity, got very good at doing that over the next decade and he got mindbroken into liking it.
Now imagine if you're a captured christian taken to the gladiatorial arena to fight for your life and an insane buffed-out evil Jesus, who is also the right hand of the Emperor, is slowly walking towards you.
Does anyone know what you do in Heaven? Like what if you get bored or some shit? Can I buy a ticket to Hell or somewhere while I'm there?
This whole eternity shit is way too confusing and sounds awful to be honest. Like Jesus Christ, literally, just end it and let me be done.
If "The Force" can see into, know, and influence time (the future), what is Anakin responsible for?
He was the chosen one, his destiny and how he would achieve it was written (literally and metaphorically) before he was born.
Eternity is such a poor conceptual story. Something that never ends or begins for that matter.
He looks like the Grim Reaper from Bill and Ted
This, but the Chinese guy looks like a toilet robot
What exactly does a toilet robot do?
Asking for a friend.
Toils.
he's an alien with a second heart
Shot through the heart
And you're to blame
You give love a bad name
He was really angry, does wonders for the will to live
And now he's off to job to those blue-haired Rebels kids.
At least he gets fricking exploded with no chance of coming back.
based quan chi poster
THAT'S A LOTTA DUBS
>is it okay if I call you Mr. Dubs?
no one’s ever really gone
Literal space alien.
This guy looks and talks like someone straight out of Lexx. Not even Farscape, Lexx.
Doesn’t Vader seem kind of overpowered in this?

Not really, but only because of his infamous suiting up scene where he freaks because he is somehow tricked into thinking he killed Padme.
He did kill Padmé.
Oh yeah, I forgot. The old broken heart technique.
Clearly it was due to medical error, one of the leading causes of death in America.
What pisses me off more about Vader is that because of the prequels Anakin/Vader just ended up as a dickhead simpleton before he turned into Vader.

The Clone Wars TV show sort of helps explain that, but yeah, movies alone paint a completely different Anakin.

How'd the Jedi fail him?

Why should he be weaker?
Emptiness. Also the whole having all your limbs cut off and the rest of your body cooked like a burnt steak should have some effect.
That's dumb. Giving in to the dark side always came with an increase in power. It's raw corrupted Force.
How do you even corrupt the whill of the force? Frick this shit homie, just let me see some space wizrards fighting to John Williams.

>Have we started the fire?
They are slowly introducing Sith cloning.
A good question for another time
Do artificial limbs come with you when you become a force ghost?
they're waiting for you in the afterlife.

He's grooming her
They're just fricking around because they know they're untouchable.

You're going to be a completely different person there and essentially enjoy doing nothing.
>It will be done, my Lord
every fricking time I see a pic of this dude I think its johnny depp in black mass
Impressive
Holy shit
god works in mysterious ways
Like saving you from devil trips holy shit
shut up and consume product
thank the lord for that
