Nowadays, dubs are getting more elaborated by mescling the Rio cast with the São Paulo cast of VA, which is great in my opinion, because mainly the rio cast dubs cinema movies and tv series, while the são paulo cast dubs more tv programs and anime.

In the countries where Nick didn't own FoP the titles of the games had to be changed as to not imply that Nick owns FoP in those countries.

Zim and FoP premiered on the same day. Zim had a whole advertisement campaign leading up to it that started with an Irken logo and the text "The invasion begins this fall", then a commercial with some fuzzy footage of Dib screaming about how they're coming, then finally a video from Zim assuring Earth that there's no upcoming invasion and they should carry on with their miserable Earth business (and GIR sings the doom song). This whole thing happened over the course of a few months.
Meanwhile, all FOP got was a video of Butch Hartman giving an elevator pitch for the show. It was pretty obvious which of the two Nick expected to be their next flagship series and which was a lower priority series. The toy rights were also being sat on by some company until recently because Nick license them out cheap and didn't give a frick.
Remember there was some frick that blamed him killing someone on an episode of Invader Zim. That shit kills a show fast.

I always thought Nick hated Zim due to its dark and violent premise.
They don't. The show was just too expensive to produce.
We only have the Zim crew's side of the story, but if you read between the lines it's pretty obvious that Zim wasn't what they had a problem with. It was Jhonen Vasquez doing his best to refuse every request they made of him, no matter how reasonable (like the infamous incident where he wanted to have a bloody image of GIR jumpscare in the middle of the theme song, Nick told him that he couldn't put bloody GIR in the show, so Jhonen started hiding it in random episodes to spite them). Combine that with the fact that they were constantly behind schedule and over-budget and Nick finally just got fed up.
It wasn't Bloody GIR that irritated Nick (they didn't even know about it). It was Jhonen constantly including cameos from his comics, even after Nick told him to knock it off for legal reasons.

They did. Many times. Jhonen just turned them down every time. In the mid-10s, it just so happened Jhonen was getting burnt out with his indie creator thing and wanted to do something people would actually give a frick about. Nick just happened to call him with yet another offer for a Zim revival around that time, so he just went "frick it, I'm game". That's how the new comic happened. The movie revival happened because he spent four years pitching Very Important House to various networks and streaming services before going "frick it, more animated Zim".
Damn, I really wish we got his take on TMNT instead.
Some mad christian moms probably called in like clockwork to complain about everything on nick, not just Zim.
Zim was easy to drop as soon as the CGI space battle bills started piling up and deadlines weren't getting met, and the merch sales were completely negligible until after the show ended and hot topic got a hold of Gir.
I would also like to say that Zim had an initial 13 episode order then extended to a 20 episode first season. It was then given a full on 20 episode second season (one ultimately though reduced to seven episodes).
Meanwhile, OddParents was only initially given a mere six episode order just like SpongeBob was initially. It was then only given a fourteen episode second season as the first season was wrapping up production-wise (explaining the extensive hiatus between the two season).
I think part of this different treatment was that Zim was being planned as a show designed to recapture an older tween demographic that had moved towards Cartoon Network while OddParents not only didn't meet a very specific demographic the network was struggling with but it was a self-contained spinoff of OYC, a show itself not well treated at all by the network.
It was more of a testing ground curated by an outsider
nick clearly wanted a new ren & stimpy but they didnt expect kids and/or adukt feaking the hell out that much for the new show

Sometimes studios sell off certain rights in other countries to help produce a movie or a TV show for X amount of years. I'm not sure about Nick's deal, but prehaps they said "you can have this show for this many years, do whatever you want in this amount of time, and we'll make more episodes. If it does good, we'll renegotiate when your deal is almost up."

Nickelodeon had and continues to have a decent relationship with Nelvana and the deal pawning off FOP distribution rights to Nelvana was part of a bigger one that also did stuff like also pawned off Taina's international distribution to Nelvana and renewed Nelvana-produced Nick shows.
As this thread has pointed out, Nick didn't have much faith in OddParents so the whole thing comes off as letting Nelvana internationally deal with something they thought would only last a short while. As we all knew, the show blew up and Nick somehow was able to get full international rights to all then-future episodes sometime in the mid 2000s (right at the tail end of the show's initial run).
It is hilarious that said “later” episodes were after Channel Chasers, considered the unofficial ending by many and the last episodes of the good seasons.

Considering that Maggie and the Ferocious Beast was a pretty big part of their Nick, Jr lineup, I'm inclined to think distribution rights to FOP were something that Nick didn't think all that important and threw in to sweeten the deal.
Nelvana and Nick have a very long-term relationship, as do their parent companies. When the Canadian government gives up on preventing foreign ownership of media companies, expect Viacom to buy out Corus Entertainment (and Nelvana with it).
