How new can you be that you've never seen this movie
Primarily just dopamine-seeking morons unfortunately.
Why else would you come to this website
I’m primarily in denial about being a dopamine-seeking moron.
its become very formulaic.
Her fat protected her.
Her ability to psychically make any toilet within 30 meters flush.
her passive skill makes her immune to all Fear and True Fear debuffs. that's why when Sugar tried to use his A1 Menacing Stare skill it didn't work because it casts True Fear.
Hutts are immune to force tricks.
she is actually a super saiyan

B/c she's a heckin chubby chonka
1. She was being professional.

She had a code that she stuck to and Sugar respected that
Best thread on Cinemaphile right now
In the scene you can see Anton notice the flushing sounds and realizes he would need to off two people and so it's not worth it. The guys "moral code" or whatever does not trump his ability to do his job. The only liberty he takes is in going after the wife after he got the money back. Even then you could argue he was tying up a potential lose end.
This fat slag did not have super powers, she was just lucky.
No bro, you don't get it. She stood by her guns and followed her own code. Not letting him slide and also she was a badass lady that Chigurh respected. An immovable object met an unstoppable force!
God, I need to stop hate reading youtube comments.
You got it all wrong, Anton was still going to kill them both easily but the horrid stench of shit filled that hot little Texas office after the flush and was so bad he had to bounce just so he wouldnt throw up
yeah because he never ever kills two people at once in the movie
>The guys "moral code" or whatever does not trump his ability to do his job
So Anton normally would just live his life killing 50% of the people he didn't like, or did he only behave like an unhinged lunatic while on a job?
When she affirms "I can't say" the first time, it's done with such a stern motherly tone that Anton is caught off guard and begins to devolve into a bratty, childlike state. Her nurturing yet unwavering manner reminds him that even with a deadly weapon in hand and a completely nihilistic worldview, the mere gaze of a postpartum old bat is still enough to completely shatter his composure. So he spirals. In fact, the rest of the film could be viewed as Anton rebelling against this old woman. The chiasmatic nature is mirrored at the end when he kills Carla Jean Moss, while the act was kept ambiguous to the viewer. It presents the notion of how much stock femininity can clash with an amoral ideology to turn men into caricatures of themselves. Though I might be looking too into it...
She's wearing a fat suit as a disguise got these situations. Sugar returned later that day but because he saw only an innocent thin woman he left in frustration, which caused him to be sloppy in his fight scene against moss.
Also I think the toilet flushing is meant to accentuate how easy it is to break Anton's illusory dominance of any situation he forces himself into. He's like a gritty cartoon character in a relatively grounded, serious world, so when similarly comic elements are introduced he acutely recognizes that dissonance and escapes the situation.
I like to imagine that some day in the future Chigurh drives 300 miles out of his way to finally pop this b***h.
She is the only person in the entire movie who stands up to him, doesn't take his shit and is straightforward and to the point with him. Notice he doesn't kill her either, when he easily could have. Seemed to me he respected her.
What about Moss?
He ran away
Moss' cowardice got his wife killed
