How did they manage to misinterpret what made the first one work this badly?
Watched them both back to back yesterday and it's night and day, the first one is basically believable and does an excellent job of just giving you enough to stay interested, while this giant pile of diarrhea squirts its jumpscare shit all over the place from the word go and not only shows the witch multiple times (its fricking longmouth lady lmao) but gives her insane ridiculous powers like the ability to control time
Its like it was written by someone that was just told about the first movie
Only good Blair Witch spinoffs were the tv mockumentaries.
I enjoyed the 2nd movie for the schlock it was, but it's still nowhere near as good as the first movie.
i agree on most things but stop with this normie reddit crap about not showing the monster
i dont have a problem with showing the monster but again what made the first one good is it had the restraint to not show it, leaving the doubt that maybe they just went nuts in the woods
its just basic nuance, which the sequel completely lacks
>i dont have a problem with showing the monster but again what made the first one good is it had the restraint to not show it,
Contradicted yourself in the same sentence.
>leaving the doubt that maybe they just went nuts in the woods
There was...NO LE MONSTER, IT WAS LE MANIFESTATION OF THEIR LE PARANOIA. Cringe and homosexualpilled. The witch was real, dilate.
you are the living definition of a pseud
That would be the troony suggesting there was no monster.
seek help
>leaving the doubt that maybe they just went nuts in the woods
Then you weren’t paying attention. Literal start of the movie says they found the camera and tapes underneath the foundation of a 100 year old cabin by anthropology researchers. So it wasn’t some recent burial. There’s no doubt supernatural shit happened.
Plus the fact they, you know, stumbled upon the house of that child murderer and went inside even though we get repeatedly told it doesn’t exist any more because they burned it down 50 years earlier?
For a movie you apparently really liked, you didn’t really understand it or pay attention to it
it doesnt say any of that you disingenuous frick, in the first one it simply states that the tapes were recovered
the whole
>the cabin was tore down
crap is shit they added in the wingard one.
theyre explicitly told that the ruined cabin is still out there at the beginning of the first one
what the frick is wrong with you?
>he didn’t see the documentary that came out before the movie
Well what could the monster possibly be? Some magic, supernatural shit? That puts any movie automatically in fairy tale land. Some mundane shit? That makes it automatically shit. A reveal makes everything shit if you are not a writer that can come up with a smart story.
>Some magic, supernatural shit? That puts any movie automatically in fairy tale land.
Very low IQ post.
It's explicitly not trying to be the first movie. It's an obvious artistic choice to show a similar group having similar events happen to them but from a different POV than passing a camera around.
please rewatch it and then try and pretend theres anything artistic about it
Hey moron, stop pretending like the word artistic has any weight to it like you're the king of fricking midwits. Nobody said it's high art okay moron?
i know wingard is your friend mike but youre gonna have to accept the fact that this movie is fricking awful
You're only arguing because you didn't know what a word meant.
okay mike
Pretending that someone you disagree with is a celebrity or internet famous person you don't like is the cringiest thing ever and it automatically invalidates any argument you're trying to make.
good job mike
>I'm going to double down on being moronic.
Jesus this is embarrassing.
you sure told me didn't you mike
It just gets worse and worse XD
sure nuff mike
Just out of curiosity, what "mike" are yiu referring to?
I watched it and found it ok.
The scene where the nig chimped out cracked me up.
A couple creepy moments. Pink hair girl was qt.
Only thing I didn't like was the main dude. His acting was awful, supposed to be concerned about his missing sister but it felt like there was going to be a twist where he was just trying to profit off her disappearance or something.
for me, the monster(s) were what the lost people turned into. maybe we all have that monster in us in certain situations.
What was that fpund footage horror movie where one of the directors starred in, that was about some guy investigating a found footage movie and the whole thing starts breaking the fourth wall. I wanted to see it but i forgot the name of it.
