That market scene was fricking absurd. I genuinely don't know how the writers expected people to like her. She's what Enchanted wanted Luci to be. A genuine piece of shit that the main character is influenced by and likes dearly despite how obviously terrible they are in general and for the MC.
That would be kino if it were intentional but this is some Dragon Prince level of cognitive dissonance. They even shamed the Squirrel for not sticking with her, lmao.
I think the point was supposed to be that she's just a stupid regular cat at that point, and cats act like buttholes naturally. I dunno if we were supposed to think that changed when Prismo made her on model but it does reflect pretty poorly on her overall.
It clearly didn't change her, she and Fionna argue more in 10 episodes than F&J did in 10 seasons. I'm fine with her being kind of unlikeable though since she's a cat, it'd be boring if she was just 1:1 girl hippie jake

Haven't watched the new series but from what i remember she's a slightly bad influence on fiona like jake is on finn but instead of an older brother that never thinks anything out before saying it, she's a sassy gurlfriend that gives you bad advice

Jake was the voice of reason on Finn's shoulder, but he gave him space to grow, that's totally different with Cake, she would push Finn to let himself be guided by his instincts, the episodes would end with Finn realizing that Cake is not the best influence.
