How do I cope with never directing a movie?
It's the only thing that excites me but I'm a friendless loser with no social skills who never had confidence to talk to people much less take charge and give directions to several people and I am awkward with no charisma and charme to win people over so it just seems impossible. Maybe if I was young still I could work on all these things but now it feels to late.
>How do I cope with never directing a movie?
Get your moronic ass off your couch and get out there and make a movie.
>bro just give it a shot
This is horrible advice. OP is obviously a loser. Don't give him false hope.
Direction is a shit career choice and artists are all gays.
I dull my creative thinking with excessive external dopamine stimulation i.e reading Cinemaphile threads and gooning to porn. Now my brain numb and I don’t get the pictures running in da brain anymore. Brain still n gud now no pretzel brain 🙂
make a gaming YouTube channel and direct your ass to saying the Black person word on a Livestream
>How do I cope with never directing a movie?
just learn to write, you can make kino on a page by yourself and it costs nothing. Eventually AI will be able to make it into something to watch.
This is actually good advice that op and every autist should pay attention to.
>How do I cope with never being the billionaire CEO of a major corporation?
>I have zero experience and never leave my house and have zero social skills, and have shown zero initiative to do anything. Am I aiming too high?
The correct answer is to just do it.
But what you could do is just plan out a story board. Refine it so it becomes a comicbook if nothing comes of it, or it's refined enough that it's a proof of concept, and you don't waste time and money when you do film.
What do you have to lose by trying?
time
money
dignity
>time
OP has plenty
>money
OP has none
>dignity
OP has little to none
I've done it several times and I'm doing it again next month, and I'm a completely 'tistic and friendless weirdo
Just write the damn script, cast actors and crew off craigslist/Facebook. I have a nice blackmagic camera but use your phone if u have to. Simple as
It's the one thing I'm good at and you'd never guess if you knew me. All my weaknesses somehow become strengths when I'm in the chaos of production. You owe it to yourself to try
how much did it cost you to cast everyone?
$50-$75 per actor/crew per day. I've gotten away with less if I provide really good food.
Also I'm a poorgay and oldgay (39), so it's truly never too late and no good excuses.
I've got my stuff on Amazon/tubi and make a small amount of money every month. With this next one I think I might be able to sell to a distributor
Must be nice to live in a country where this is possible.
would you dare link us to your work? I wanna see.

kek did you put this on the window or did you just find it there already and use it?
We lived in that house and just had weird shit like that everywhere
so I watched most of it, you have some talent in this so I applaud you for that and for making something. I enjoyed it. I felt like it was a little too long though so I skimmed the last act. Liked the ending with the recorder, there were some genuinely funny moments.
Your last thread a few days ago had tons of great advice, which you have apparently ignored and are back to making your pity posts. Just fricking do something. No good witch is going to pop up and magically make you a famous movie director.
