This. I genuinely can't believe how bad it (and S25) were. People shit on the 20-23 seasons and pretty fairly so but they were still somewhat watchable. S25 and part 1 are too fricking awful even for me to continue watching this anymore.

I guess I’m a fanboy because I grew up with it. It’s always exciting to see some fresh South Park content, even if it’s disappointing. Same with SNL. I guess I don’t have very high standards, but it feels like a mini “event” that makes for an exciting evening. I haven’t seen this one though. It’s getting old and the comedy central ad looked fricking awful

I don't understand why it's so fricking unfunny now. It's like they are trying harder than ever, the animation is better than ever, but it's just so fricking unfunny. episodes like creme fraiche are so weird and simple but they're hilarious. That's what south park is.
each episode is now like a giant argument for some political point in the form of a cartoon. Politics and social media has made people in first world countries become schizo.

People will say Im a /misc/tard but its because Matt and Trey either went full liberal nutjob or handed the reins of the show over to people who are, probably some combination of both. Its not clever it just comes across as the same kind of crap youd read from literal who's crying about Trump on Twitter.
Not to mention theyve made it The Randy Show.
Realistically South Park is the only thing keeping Comedy Central from going under, so theyll pay a kings ransom for Matt and Trey to throw ANYTHING at the wall, because Im pretty sure even the most unwatchable SP seasons pull in more viewers than anything else. I literally couldnt even tell you another show on that channel even if you paid me 10 grand.
To be fair, they're literally pushing out as much shit as possible to fulfill their 500 million dollar contract with Paramount.

The focus on Randy has to be a deliberate attempt to get the show cancelled. The last five seasons have been unwatchably bad.
I really can't see it any other way. Matt and Trey signed a billion dollar contract and thought it would be funny to see how bad they could make the show when they were already paid upfront for it. If that's what they're doing, bravo, I kind of respect it. Everyone I know who used to like south park said it died already anyways years ago, so its not like they're disappointing their fans. They're just shoveling shit into the mouths of consumers and laughing all the way to the bank. If they're not pulling a prank, then wow, they have really fallen far. Could be a mix of both, who knows. Maybe they know they've gotten worse but just don't care. Either way they made like a billion dollars.

I work with a boomer than unironically loves the new stuff. He went on about streaming wars for 15 minutes so I decided to give it a watch. I never laughed once.

Typical modern south park taking a mildly funny one-off joke and instead extending it to an entire episode or even multiple seasons when it stopped being funny literally the second time it was used

south park is over, it has been for a while, tegrity farms means it's in it retirement era, matt and trey are in there 50's now, not young and hip, they have been showing signs of boomer brain for a long time now, it's done
The only part I liked was them completely trolling their fans by acting like the Tegridy weed arc was finally over and they realize it sucked only for them to go back on it at the end of the episode.
