being slower would be an enormous improvement. It means less shitposting and more time for actual discussion. It means good threads stay up for longer because they are not drowned in a sea of shit and anons have more time to reply to them.
nope. Animation has been here since the beginning and the board only turned to shit when live action discussion became common.
it's Cinemaphile crossboarders that ruin the board

>Animation has been here since the beginning
And? That side of the board was never not shit. Why do you think a cartoon got its own board? Why do you think so much cartoon shit is relegated to /trash/?
Now all we get is Hazbin spam every day, and the resident schizospammer is a cartoongay.
Its slow for a time. Otherwise all the cartoon shit that gets spread can easily apply to the board because 95% of it has a comic counter part. For example Rick and Morty has well over 100 issues and several stand alone arcs in comics alone. Sonic is pretty much its own universe and better for it compared to its game self.
But skipping past that, you've just now replaced peridot spamming threads for Super Girl/Raven/take your pic and the speed will pick up again.
that's how it was before until you cartoongays came here in drones. Even if storytimes threads don't get much traction now they would still fare way better on a split board
The thing is that they overlap. I hate capeshit comics but like alot of animated media...would it go on an animation board or cartoon one? I think there should be proper division and keeping live-action dog shit to Cinemaphile.

Actually post in threads talking about comics, don't get derailed, and ignore shitposting threads. But anons don't want to do that. Spider-Man threads are at an all time high and that's because thread quality is at an all time low. That's how it was when Bendis was on Superman. Now most Superman threads are bait threads and that's one or two a day. That's why I ignore 90% of the threads here and hide the really obnoxious ones.

Pretty much all of those threads could come to (/pc/, /wc/)?. Although I guess it would be interesting watching the autism trolls take it to new heights by creating custom comics just to make their shit legal to spam.
Just discuss them. If you’re a shill it’s obvious. But if you’re being genuine in your belief just ignore shit posts and dissent. Only focus on tru engagement.
But you have to realize “discussion” isn’t just positive. If you’re talking about big 2 comics most people think they’re written by bums and, worse, spiteful mean-spirited people.
>>non stop why the big two are shit
They send shills here to storytime. I told the idiots running the 2 week late Lotus Land issue 1 storytime this and they acted like they’d never read one of the plethora of marketing studies that shows piracy/free samples works.
I added the shit to my pull after buying issue one. Even posted the picture here.
Image, dynamite, boom!, ect need to storytime. It generates discussion and awareness.

The problem is we only read 3 books Spider-Man, X-Men and when DC deems it worthy to print one, Batgirl. The storytime threads of anything else get zero replies. No one on Cinemaphile collects comics seriously and that's like 75% of the fandom that actually spends money.
Not enough casual interest or overly autistic bros like Cinemaphile to maintain a board our autists only care about who Spider-Man is fricking andbtrying to make Legion of Super Heroes and Captain Marvel, either of them, a thing.

nah, mods should permaban coomergays or at least their image with that MD5 stuff.

I think it's more likely that they left because they just don't read as many comics as they used to or weren't interested in the comics people post nowadays.
When bringing up a comic, you should post a few pages so that unfamiliar people will take an interest. Also you should post your thoughts so people who are familiar with the comic can launch a conversation.

First off you made that same thread like 3 or 4 times within a week back in December/January with that same grid and at least one of them had N’Nya more replies.

I’m sure even on Reddit you’d get a few token “yeah I like them too” replies because despite them wanting to be hipsters they know damn well none of that is worth reading. Those are comics made for a ComicsBeat write up, a few token likes on social media and nothing else.

I actually think this is a bog problem but probably for different reasons. In the modern landscape if you dislike something youre always hit with “what’s so BAD about it! Ban posters for spamming lots of threads about the same comic/cartoon at once. The reduction in shills and unmedicated adhd autists will do the board a world of good. The number of threads per day will go down, and that will let some actual discussion happen.
I feel like most people wait around for things to be posted (like an EvW thread or a comic they don't like) so they can attack it, but they'll never partake in a positive discussion or make threads themeselves.

this. I don't care that a comic board would be slow. That's fine (and in any case the Spiderautists would keep it alive).
Sadly true. But if you had a comics-only board you'd still be sharing it with a majority drive of superhero movie adaptations.
I think simply making a separate board for capeshit would solve that double issue.

No, it wouldn’t. I’d take a slow comic board over sharing this shithole with women and troons that want to gossip about the latest western tranime
There are slower boards. Greentext alone would keep certain threads moving.

Ban posters for spamming lots of threads about the same comic/cartoon at once. The reduction in shills and unmedicated adhd autists will do the board a world of good. The number of threads per day will go down, and that will let some actual discussion happen.
What else to read here?
A plethora of capes, forgotten indies/creator-owned, Euro comics with translations trickling in, comic strips, and webcomics.
This board will improve when comics get good again
I doubt it.
As you can see in this thread the ones to blame are:
coomers
husbandogays
disneygays
mcugays
warnergays
liveactiongays
cartoongays
waifugays
twittergays
also:
hatergays, the ones who shit on comibook threads.
Haven't you considered that maybe the problem is gays like you that shitpost instead of discussing on-topic subjects?
I make comicbook thrads on monthly basis, I always post in comicbook threads but sometimes they got buried in hours, I know the real deal since 2009.
>coomers
most of them are cartoongays. I'm so tired of visiting Cinemaphile only to be greeting to daily feet threads
I won.
With better comics.
Definitely not by breaking the rules and keep posting anime, that's for sure
I feel like most people wait around for things to be posted (like an EvW thread or a comic they don't like) so they can attack it, but they'll never partake in a positive discussion or make threads themeselves.
>I feel like most people wait around for things to be posted so they can attack it
This. People should be more willing to make a new thread about a thing to attack it.
>EvW
the what now?
East vs West, basically "based and redpilled manga outsells woke moralist western comics" bait threads
ah I don't engage in those and honestly it's not that big of a deal compared to coomers spam
It's pretty telling that nothing is created and promoted today that general audiences--who haven't actually changed that much compared to, say, 30 years ago-- actually agree on and like. Perhaps "diversity" in an attempt to capture a disinterested market was a bad idea and we should go back to making things the existing audience actually wants.
Why do people need to be positive?
Better discussion.
The solution is a board split and EVERYONE FRICKING KNOWS IT, but the mods have abandoned this place, so it'll never get done.
By going to a different site.
