Make movies that have a point to them. People are tired of watching 2 and a half hour long previews for other movies when there's nothing to look forward to in the long run. This is why No Way Home made a shit ton of money where as these other marvel movies are failing.

No way home is also a Spiderman movie, which is almost guaranteed to make money. Marvel needs to stop assuming every character they have is as popular as Spiderman.

The pre-credit scene in the finale of Ms.Marvel implied she had powers because she was a Mutant, while the X-Men theme played. That was the only good thing in the show.

X-Men aren't going to be traditional considering mutants are going to be new and not established from the beginning. No Professor X or Magneto because they haven't met to talk about the future of mutants. No old man Wolverine, Cyclops might not even have his defect, ect.

It's the first time that there's been confirmation of "mutants" in our universe (whatever number that is) in the MCU. That and the Professor X/Reed Richards cameo says to me they're bringing in the big guns sooner rather than later.
I don't really think that the current MCU is aimless, there's obvious connections between movies and TV shows setting up Thunderbolts/Young avengers while they consolidate the big names.
Spiderman still made bank, but they might have to throw more cast into other movies to draw crowds (like Dr.strange 2, thor4) but the big draw cards will come.

this is such a stupid fricking move from them. this and putting Kang in Loki. if Kang is a big bad and X-Men are going to be your poster team PUT THEM IN THE FRICKING MOVIES THEMSELVES. not in the shows where they have a fraction of the audience

They're just teasing X-Men atm, they'll want a build-up that will draw crowds too.
The marvels will probably have that nig from Wandavision that was part of the illuminati in Dr.Srange too. There was a plot leak about BP2, that had Doom in the post credits scene, but that's a 50/50 at best

This whole phase seems to be a huge waste of time, there's literally no actual connections between movies and shows, just shallow small references that hold no weight
Early MCU was actually connected, it had a story told throughout the movies, it's why it was popular over shit like the DCEU or any other failed cinematic universe

Don't know what's happening, maybe Feige wasn't as smart as I thought he was

        Anonymous

Barely. It barely had that. Having the plots revolve around the Infinity Stones is really all that connected the majority of them, but the actual story the movies told was sloppy and superficial.

The MCU strength came from the way a bunch of movies were released with minor connecting bits, but with big 'tentpole' films tieing it together.
          avengers (2012)
          ultron (2015)
          civil war (2016)
          infinity war (2018)
          endgame (2019)

since endgame we've had a lot more media with disney+ shit but nothing seems related, and from what I can see there arent even plans to, maybe some of the 2024+ things

            >from what I can see there aren't even plans to
It's really obvious what they should be doing. They should be doing Secret Wars now and get back the old characters from other universe's before they get too old. If people can delude themselves into thinking they always liked Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man the hype will be off the charts for Chris Evans back as Human torch fighting Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
But all what got was Patrick Stewart dying as Professor X for the 4th or 5th time

They miscast Captin Marvel by such a huge degree there's no coming back from that. She's supposed to be a Stark or Captin America type pillar and she's a charisma vacuum that doesn't want to put in the work to have a superhero physique like the men. All they have is Guardians of the Galaxy. How do they get rid of Norton for Hulk but keep Brie around for years is beyond me.

Guardians are pre-2015 MC run, where redline for cancellation was below 20k prints.
They movies adapted characters that were routinelly selling below indie comics numbers.

To be fair, I like movie America way more than comic America so I don't mind if she sticks around. Regardless, the MCU's thing was always adapting the lesser known properties sprinkled with the A listers. MCU is what put Guardians on the map in the first place because they used to be D-listers at best at Marvel until the movie.

        >Reminder that her book was cancelled seven times in five years and yet Marvel STILL pushes her.

Anon lots of books were cancelled like this in this time. They were doing near yearly relaunches to get a new #1 to boost sales every 10 months or so. Like her books were fricking terrible there was no consistent art style or look set for her, her costume or her hair and her personality got thrown out to create this new horrible c**t. But she was being relaunched because they planned on her being their Wonder Woman and wanted to keep her present. There are a ton of books from this period that after 1 relaunch were just cancelled and done. Books that avoided relaunches also werent selling amazing either. I remember after DC Rebirth fricking Aquaman and Green Arrow were outselling books like Spider-man and X-men. Marvels sales were in the fricking trash during this period.

More diversity, wokeness, feminism. That means introducing more female superheroes in established male superheroes' movies/shows, preferably emasculating the male superheroes to show how badass they are.
More diverse superheroes as well, focus more on their culture instead of actually developing their character and the story. I want to know ten different couscous recipes when I'm done watching an MCU movie.

Include all kinds of LGBTQIA+ characters. If for some reason we do need to have white straight cismale in there, then he better be the villain. Blackwash all kinds of characters no matter the context. Tessa Thompson as valkyrie was a huge success. There's no reason we can't do it to other established characters.

From now on, to start of this new phase properly, Captain Marvel should be the prime focus. I'm talking a trilogy and her becoming leader of the new Avengers. We can have a few movies that are not about Captain Marvel in between but she should still be a guest star. She will be our new Tony Stark. Oh and kill of Peter Parker in Spider-Man and replace him with Miles Morales. His story is done.

Endgame was always the finale for the MCU. Think of it like a series final for a TV show. Now we're in the spin-off phase. Disney is continuing to make mistakes thinking they can continue to milk the series when it is dead. Spiderman is now the way forward and they better see that soon. And on top of all that they are now looking to hire Affleck to direct an MCU film. Kek.

Make a MCU movie where the supposed white male lead isn't a loser and weakling for once who gets disrespected, rescued, beaten up or ordered around by "strong wyman" and blacks every 5 seconds.
Also don't have the white male lead take of his shirt and instead have a female character with big breast and a cleavage showing outfit for once.

He was literally stripped completely naked and humiliated lol. Thor has absolutely no dignity left at all.

    >250 million budget and at least 150 million in marketing (400 mil shilled out)
    >will probably barely break 300 million domestic and maybe 400 million foreign (meaning 250 million goes to the mouse)
    >Dr Strange also probably barely made any money (350 mil budget and marketing vs ~350-400 million from the 400 (200 profit) domestic and 550 (150-200 profit) foreign)
Holy mother of flops. Are we headed for the promised land, brehs- capeshit fatigue?

    >How do we save the MCU?
We don't. Capeshit needs to just taper off.

If fans all put in a donation to offset these loses we could be assured they could focus on quality instead of cheapening budgets for shortfalls like this.
