I got into some shoujou shit because of my Japanese wife. I enjoyed Kimi No Todoke and I’m not even one of those gaylord anime fans with nonce vibes. I’m mostly just waiting for Gainax to do recover and do something at this point.

Normalgays despite existing in a vacuum they refuse to leave still consume products from outside it so they're noticing the "no fun allowed" trend which really just means every major facet of Western life being used as a propaganda arm for the mainstream.

The reason nothing is fun to them anymore is because almost every mass produced triple A game is politically correct DEI, ESG approved slop. These companies even have diversity style commissars these days that make sure the product meets it's DEI/ESG standards, do you understand that type of environment? It's sterile, cold, artificial, there is no creative freedom it's about maximizing profit while retraining maximum amounts of political correctness. That isn't fun. It's anti-human. It's anti-art. It's sick.

I dont watch movies or tv anymore. I only come here because it was always the funny board. Whenever I see a trailer I think "that looks like shit that would annoy me" and carry on with my day. A few weeks later my youtube feed is filled with video essays about how shit it was and what a betrayal of the fans it represents, and I realize that I was right once again.

Ive seen a lot of this shit. I dont know if its just ADD zoomers who have been playing skinner boxes their entire lives and are burned out from the overstimulation, or whether its indicative of normies waking up that games are dogshit now. Wont change anything, even if the industry wasnt full of politicized homosexuals, its still full of people who have only gamed as a hobby and went to game development colleges, rather than people who played sports and lived normal lives before learning to code; so its going to be incestuous and cookie-cutter from now on no matter what happens.

Your guesses about vidya burnout is pretty accurate. It took a few years but Microsoft's buyouts, design by committee development, outsourcing, incompetence from senior positions, etc. is ruining everything they can get their hands on. Writing quality for both mediums has taken a nosedive the past 1-2 decades, maybe longer. Every studio's the same way though, the total eclipse a few months ago just rattled a few million people

        >if its just ADD zoomers who have been playing skinner boxes their entire lives and are burned out from the overstimulation
I don't think it's the skinnerboxes that are to blame in this case. I'm pretty sure it's just the endless cycles of hype overstimulating them combined with the fact that rarely do the games that eventually come out hold a candle to what they were all jazzed up for for a year straight. All the people I know who are like that either play like 10 AAA games a year and get super deep into the secondary fanbase shit as well and lore or they sink 2000 hours a year into a single game. If I were spending 40+ hours a week consuming a bunch of games that didn't end up meeting my wildly overinflated expectations I'm pretty sure I'd be extremely burned out as well.

Morrowind is the most I've enjoyed a game and I spent 90% of it reading about fictional politics.

Now I'm a fully grown adult who doesn't play games because I have a short attention span AND they're boring. I think it's a mix of me changing and games were always bad.

Based and same. homosexuals who spout bs like "games are not fun anymore" are just neets who from some point started treating they enjoyment more as a job. They wake up and then they game all day, no wonder it's no fun when you're doing it all the time, moron. Like everything in this world you need balance, appropriate dosages of different things in life, otherwise you're gonna end up as wallowing in self-pity dumbass posting doomer wojaks on mongoloid basket weaving forum (when that happens, I won't feel any pity for you)

There are plenty of fun things to watch, play, and do. You're likely just burnt out because you've focused too much on a limited set of activities and now your pattern recognition makes things seem trite and boring. Do something else. "Touch grass" is often used as an insult, but it's actually a valid suggestion.

If doing something else doesn't work, you're too far gone and need meds.

Most film, tv and vidya is unwatchable because of, dare I say it, woke. Compare the lord of the rings trilogy to the rings of power today.

    >nyeehh why don't you like black elves heckin' chud bla bla
I wouldn't mind black haradrim and mediterranean numenoreans and some kind of sensible, the whole thing was a fricking trainwreck that didn't resemble the lord of the rings universe or the magic of Jackon's trilogy at all

What is the greatest kino in the past 5 years? Avengers end game? Barbenheimer? jeez It is all remakes, sequels, prequels, extended universes, nothing original. In the past you'd have all sorts of fresh original movies, now, dead. I don't know what is happening, it is all so dead. Which you would not expect since it is easier than ever to make movies nowadays, anyone can upload a YT video and use AI And greenscreens and shit. Maybe we need world war 3 or something to stir the pot.
