Right? That means they had all of June, July, and August all off with 12 extra days in September. Growing up in Florida, my summer vacation began in early June and ended in early to mid-August.
Was also in Florida when it started airing so i know that feel completely. I didn't even realize schools starting in Sepetember was an actual thing until I moved to Maryland
In Tennessee, when I was a kid, we got out around May 20th and went back around last week of August, These days they still get out around the same time but go back about three weeks earlier.
So we had about ninety days of summer vacation but they might as well have given us the full 104; the last week or so of the school year was pretty much just movie days or field trips and the first week back was basically killing time until after Labor Day.
Will second this. When I moved to Florida and worked at a school I could not believe they didnt let out until June. To be fair this elementary school also let out at 1:30 everyday which I thought was crazy.
Man, I feel so bad for kids in my city. It used to be that school let out the 3rd week of June and resumed the week following Labor Day. Nowadays schools start opening mid-August. I would hang myself if I were going to school now.

I am a simple man. I only have one wish. The series ended with both Dr. Doof joining OWCA and (more importantly) Stacy learning Perry's secret identity.
As such, I wish for this new season to have a new B plot revolving around Stacy becoming an OWCA agent being trained by Perry on missions around the globe. Being a human face in situations where an animal would draw too much attention. Furthermore, I wish for Dr. Doof to be the man in the chair, giving her senators to help her mission that ultimate backfire and embarrass her in ways similar to my fetishes. This is the only wish I ever plan to make.

The thing about the show is that it "concluded" the characters that most drive the plot of the episodes, Candace and Doof, so to make more episodes that take place in the following summer requires reinventing a lot of the show.

Yeah, but then they made a movie after it which was retroactively set back in the original summer, just sometime before the finale. So when the new season was announced people were wondering if it'd also be retroactive like the second movie was, or if it's gonna be set in the following summer.
