He didn't lose though, he wiped the fricking floor with the mountain, he just decided to be a moron instead of finishing him off.
Its like if you knocked out Mike Tyson in an underground match, but instead of just claiming the belt you just started dancing around and teabagging him until he woke up and took a bite out of your nutsack
Are you a fricking moron? He may have been able to very easily win by stabbing the guy on the ground but he didn’t. He chose to gloat, got his skull crushed and lost.
He wasn't gloating, idiot. He needed mountain to admit what he did and that Tywin ordered it, so that he could challenge and kill Tywin. If mountain died first, that plan doesn't work.
We know anon we also watched the show where he directly states why he did what he was doing.
He also died in a fight to the death. Do you want to call that a win?
He did technically win because he killed him and his opponent made a mistake he was able to capitalize on. However, he was not the better fighter and Oberon did have him "beat" until he didn't. Then again, someones definition of who's the better fighter depends on what they want out of their fighter. Overall I think it is a poor end for the character who should've had way more screen time leading up to a death like this. WIth how little we see and know of Oberon by this point in the show, it seems like he died just for shock value.
Why would the Mountain ever admit that though? It was a fight to the death, and there was no way Oberyn would have ever spared him anyway after what he did to his sister. He has literally no reason to throw his benefactor under the bus with him.
I figured it'd be like you were in a fight to the death and you died during it. But if you want to call that a win and change the scenario to what you did that's fine too.
You fight a guy way bigger than you, in full armor, with a great sword about as big as your spear. And when he's on the ground you gloat instead of finishing him off.
Script writers have very poor knowledge of what a fight is, let alone a fight-to-the-death or one that includes weapons. To think that something so outrageously miraculous in rarity would occur that it would shock someone, and not some saturated emotion term journalist throw to grab attention but genuine speechlessness about how insane such an outcome would be when the disadvantage was so enormous.
They only know, "it needs to happen, so, it does."
I honestly don't understand why he was so close to begin with. The guys was already poisoned and basically crippled on the floor. He was grandstanding by stalking around and trying to force a confession while yelling to the crowd as well. Why did he need to get so close?

kek
He would have had to spit his mouthguard out in preparation for this unfiltered act of Black persony
Will he do the same to Jake Paul?
/thread
he literally won then decided to be moronic hence dying
>he didn’t lose, he just lost

That prancing homosexual lost and did so in one of the most hilarious ways possible. He snatched defeat from the jaws of victory LMAO
You miss and the length and weight of the spear takes too long to recover, giving the swordsman an opportunity to close the gap and you’re dead
Spears are more effective fighting weapons than swords.
>needing a Youtuber to explain that having the most range is a huge advantage
You should make a 10 mile long spear ans become unstoppable
What do you think an ICBM is?
What is an ICBM but a really long spear?
Not a spear
>long
>pointy
Literally the two defining characteristics of a spear
I feel like bashing a guy with a stick who's 400 lbs of muscle and in full armor wouldn't do much
Then why did roman legions carry two spears and a sword instead of 3 spears?
Why didnt they carry 2 swords and 1 spear?
Because in formation spears were better most of the time but not all of the time which means there are situations where a sword is better
>"over extends spear"
>too long to recover
You realize spears are used for bashing as well as stabbing, right? If you miss your target, you're supposed to sweep
These are posters on Cinemaphile; they don't know proper form or technique of using blades, stick or staff.

How do you win when the writer pumps you full of moron juice as soon as you gain the upper hand?
Warhammer mogs
ROBERT WAIT
Halberd chads stay winning

By being a whiny b***h and walking right up into arms reach of the dude you are fighting
>How do you lose when you have a spear?
you let them past your spear point
STR-gays and spear-gays, is there any other more obnoxious medieval combat larp expert than these two?
Why doesn't the mountain grab the spear with his protected hands and pull it away?

Get your medieval LARPing ass back to /tg/, neckbeard.

>Why did he need to get so close?
Because the plot demanded it.
