The youtube algorithm is a hodgepodge of "viral" shit alongside irrelevant videos it thinks you are interested in. I've seen a lot of unfunny garbage with cropped porn in the thumbnail and millions of views, somehow I doubt that's a special surprise youtube served me based on my preferences
