Their music really isn't my type but I listened to black parade for the first time in years not long ago and it was pretty good, reminded me of when my sister was super into them all those years ago

If he was just writing comics they'd have no appeal especially at the time MCR was a thing. Ways comics have the gimmick of "written by the guy from My Chemical Romance"
If he just jumped right into animation he would of never got off the ground.
He needed MCR is a backdrop to keep him financially stable while he refined his craft.

other than UA dallas most of what hes wrote is pretty mediocre

CN already had cold feet on Breakfast Monkey because of it's similarity to Aqua Teen in concept, at best it would've been a lost Big Pick pilot.
