third season is now just like a normal superhero story with edge. pretty good for being that, but it's not what the first season was. and a huge amount of viewers (plebbit, twitter, etc) are calling herogasm the bestest episode ever of the boys, when in reality it's the most capeshit episode, which is why the writers are leaning that way because its easier to write than decent satire, and will likely just carry on.
