In my opinion the level of quality at Vertigo remains high up until Karen Berger leaves the company in 2013.

Jeff Lemire's early work at Vertigo such as the first three volumes of Sweet Tooth, the Nobody, are Trillium are my personal favorites of his comic career.

The miniseries that Grant Morrison has published under Vertigo like Vinamarama, We3, The Filth, Seaguy, and Joe the Barbarian are some of the best comics in his bibliography.

Other comics I'd reccomend from this time period are 100 Bullets, Unknown Soldier, Fables, Lucifer, Scalped, and Hellblazer.

I prefer 90s Vertigo, but frankly the entire Vertigo line was surprisingly consistent for about 20 years.

Post Karen Berger? I could really only reccomend Sandman Overture, Dead Boy Detectives, Suiciders, and the Twilight Children. Each year after 2013 Vertigo got increasingly worse as it struggled to attract decent creators who would be willing to sell their original ideas through DC.

Some good picks here - Vetrigo had gained a reputation in the early 00s as being for wiccans whose main hobbies were tarot readings and jerking off to Neil Gaiman (and not necessarily in that order) but it's nice to see their post-Sandman stuff is being properly appreciated.

Army @ Love and The Exterminators weren't bad. Testament started real strong, then kinda dithered. Unknown Soldier was really good, and The Un-Men is a personal fave (ymmv).

      Thanks.

      >We3
      >Seaguy
Those are fun, but not some of his best.

      >Twilight Children
      I didn't enjoy this one.

The only good post-Berger book I can think of is Unfollowed which had a lot of potential but got a rushed ending due to early cancellation.
