How should Daredevil die permanently?
Sacrificing himself to save someone seems the obvious answer. Paralleling his origin story and how he became blind. Coming full circle with his Christian faith
Has he “died” in the marvel comics before? (As in they actually pretended he died for a real amount of time, not a fake death we knew about immediately)
Daredevil is an interesting character to me because I feel like he would honestly work far better in terms of a legacy character taking over than most marvel characters.
Think about it
>Matt Murdock is pushing 40, despite his enhanced senses he’s still a normal human who is just very fit
>has to hang up the mask because he can’t physically hack it any more
>Matt can continue being a lawyer, knowing who’s innocent and guilty thanks to knowing who lies with his enhanced senses
>a new younger protege daredevil could operate under Matts supervision, like Bruce Wayne with Terry except Matt wouldn’t be 80 years old.
>new protege daredevil could see, and could have different powers that would mix things up. Would also make the myth of daredevil more of a thing in the criminal underworld since they already did the “everybody knows Matt Murdock is daredevil” thing yet daredevil is clearly operating while Matt is in public doing shit and is now doing crazier shit like shooting fire out his hands or something
Too late. He should have died permanently decades ago.
When
I enjoyed Millers run. Never got to the part where Karen got aids and gave up his secret identity for drug money
He shouldn’t. I think writers who think titular characters should die at all should jump off a roof. I’m dead serious. “Creators” that only want to destroy and alter shit should get the rope. They’re a cancer to the industry.
Go write creator owned if you want to make comics with irreparable changes in them.
>I loved miller’s run
>I never read born again though
You what?
Maybe I blanked it from my memory or didn’t get to that part because of recommendations. I know it happened so I either heard about it or read it and tried to forget
It’s the single greatest daredevil story ever told. Mazzucchelli’s art is legendary and the synthesis between miller’s scripting and mazz’s compositions and symbology is unrivaled.
You don’t just forget it.
I think that anon is a new DD fan I've seen in other threads. He only ever seems familiar with post Waid stuff and peddles generalities he knows secondhand that don't exactly line up with the comics. I only notice because I'm a huge Daredevil autist and I've seen similar post in other DD threads
Gets run over by the truck of peace because he didnt see it coming.
THE DEATH OF MATT MURDOCK [From Disney+ ECHO Season 3, 2026]
MURDOCK (BLEEDING PROFUSELY): I-I shoulda saw it coming (COUGHS) heh
FROGGY NILSSON: Did you just...was that a blind joke?
[ALL LAUGH]
[FADE TO BLACK, RECORD SKIP AS MUSIC KICKS IN]
WHO LET THE DOGS OUT
Of old age, surrounded by children and family, after years of training blind children as a grumpy old man with a stick.
You remind me of how much I hate netflix.
Bendis actually wrote Daredevil: end of days, a sort of what-if conclusion to the run. He dies fighting Bullseye and leaves like 12 illegal children with every woman he ever dated. Ben Urich’s autistic adopted kid eventually takes the mantle and is trained by Matt’s daughter with Natasha.
Bendis’ run is awful, I’m sick of shills and people who believed shills acting like it’s anything but gutter trash.
Bullseye is BLOND?
Um, always has been.
I didn’t give any opinion on Bendis. OP asked if there are stories about Daredevil dying, and this is the most famous one.
I guess you could add Darkdevil from Spider-girl, but neither he nor Matt are even remotely close to being central characters there.
>Um, always has been.
wtf??
Dunno if his face was ever shown beforehand but Miller always depicted him as blond.
getting killed by Kingpin, but it's what finally takes Kingpin down so it's a good sacrifice
>How should Daredevil die permanently?
He shouldn't.
Just have him retire because he’s a normie
>superhero
>dying permanently
