    >has attitude
    >willing to kill (whether he actually does or not depends on adaptation, but he is always willing or even wants to do it)
    >always rebels or disagrees with the leader
same reason people like raphael over leonardo, they like cool but (c)rude characters

All I remember is that he kicked so much ass in the cartoon series that finding out he jobs in the comics is a let down

Not really. He couldn't even cut anyone with his claws, only robots. He and Beast were the most useless members overall

I hope that, someday, when you learn that is what being cool is, it's not as harsh a lesson as it was for us. being cool, being treated like shit, and becoming whiny buttholes.

the better question is how did they watch that trash show?

this. it looked like it was animated by some random homeless men. Wolverine has been cool though , in some comics.

Why waste money on these buttholes when you can spend more on animation?

Don't answer that. I know why. It's just dumb.

You're either moronic or spent the last 25 years trying to help your momma shit.

So we're here with you and we're gonna get this nugget out. Everyone got an idea where the taint is?

We want to avoid that at all costs.

You should check out how he was before the regular animated series. Their was a one episode pilot from DIC Productions called X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men, Wolverine was voice cast with an Australian accent. some kids including myself at the time thought he sounded like a villain more than a good guy.

I remember this not only for Australian Wolverine but I told my mom to buy me the tape from Sears and she ended up putting it in her purse and stealing it.

Holy crap I didn't know this pilot was out in the wild and I just recently finished the original series and headed straight to X-Men Evolution. Thxs for unearthing this anon.

I got the tape for this from the Scholastic Book Fair in school. It cemented my love for Nightcrawler and, other than Wolverine, is my go-to for X-Men voices. Duke as Cyclops was perfect casting.

they didn't. wolverine has his own oversaturation trope. he's just posted on everything to manufacture recognizability. he's actually a flat character because he doesn't actually stand for anything except what writers want to do with him at any given time

      P.S.

Beast had the iconic haircut before Wolverine did. wouldn't be surprised if beast's look was changed after the 90s just so wolverine could look more special than he really is

Non Comic reading Gen X already knew Wolverine though. He also had a Nintendo game released a whole year before the Animated series. Enough people were already talking about him and his cigar smoking image appealed to the teenage smokers. He was a rebel compared to heroes like Superman and Captain America

4 years before X-Men TAS his regular comic book launched because of the popularity he gained in X-Men comics. Wolverines image was skyrocketing just thru word of mouth among kids and teens with no internet at the time.
