How the frick do you go from this:
to this
I swear this is the fastest I've seen a show get flanderized. the first season felt like it had care put into it. It was well-written, it was really clever while being silly and it was genuinely funny. I only chuckled a few times in the next seasons, after the first season it just fell off. it feels like completely different writers took over and now it just looks cheap and dumb with the big bang theory level writing.
Has any show ever fallen off so quickly before?
I watched the first 2 episodes of this show a while back and it just wasn't for me. Nothing made me laugh, I think if I could sum up the humor in 1 word it would be, Reddit.
it was always reddit yeah but now it's just low grade normie shit
> reddit!
> normie!
Just so you know, you're far from being one of the cool kids.
Underage, b&
I want to frick Nadja
yuck
hmm based
I like the Doctor Who joke they used in the witches episode
For me, it’s Jackie Daytona.
from Arizonia?
I love Jackie Daytona as well because he is just a normal human bartender
Movie was cool, the tv show is the most unbearable boring piece of shit ever, humor for catladies
Season 1 was largely the movie extended out more
Well frick me then because I hated it anyways
Season 3 was great
Show was Reddit since day one
Diminishing returns, Jermaine left the writing team etc. It's still enjoyable, with occasional fun moments and very good production values
that looks like at least some of it was filmed specifically for the promo
I don't think the show gets good at all until Guillermo becomes a vampire murder savant.
I like Matt Berry but I couldn’t force myself to watch more than a few eps of season 1. Did it ever get better?
Also thought the movie was pretty whatever.
watch episodes 6&7 from season one before you give up
main writer is now some black woman.
that's your answer.
Onions face the show
>it feels like completely different writers took over
That's exactly what happened.
I still can't believe the show went to shit that hard past season 2
just read this
and it'll make sense.
Even if they'd just coasted on what had already been established it would have turned out better. They actively destroyed it.
I started with the movie, which was pure Kino.
When I started the show, my first concern was noticing that Nandor was basically Viago's autism fused with Deacon's general negligence of his familiar. It was just a bad recycling of jokes we'd seen before, but somehow worse because Deacon carried it by being the wienery slavshit of the group and getting fricked over for it later on.
Lazlo and Natasia are alright, at least they're different.
Funniest character is Colin with how absurd he is as an entity in contrast to the other vampires. I'm only like 6 episodes in though, almost lost interest until the council episode where the original flat members showed up again.
> it just looks cheap and dumb with the big bang theory level writing.

pretty much every show, is this the first one you watch?
just off the top of my head but breaking bad, the wire, the sopranos, justified, the shield, the office, parks and rec, most sitcoms, the leftovers - all got better as they went on
They brought in the guy from Workaholics after season one so it naturally got dumbed down a bit.
The only redeemable moment from Season 3
>Has any show ever fallen off so quickly before?
True Detective
Dad likes this show for some reason. When I visit home he watches it and mom hangs around and watches it too. I don't see the appeal tbh.
why is someone with a mother AND a father on Cinemaphile
>he first season felt like it had care put into it
I wouldn't go THAT far but it absolutely dropped the ball quick
>hahah le witty take on vampires a la the office hahah
Now repeat that but in Taika Waititi's voice and you just got your show greenlit.
I quit after S2 finale thankfully, don't wanna spoil it
