I've had my second cousins balls in my mouth for most of this morning. He sits on his computer and I'm chained under the desk just moisturising those pink balls with my mouth.
frick, he did that to you too?
next time keep your incestuous pedophilic fantasies to yourself
What would they replace it with? Not like cinemas can choose to be picky these days.
Successful blockbusters usually stay in theaters for a while, it just seems unusual because so many movies recently have bombed and left theaters within weeks.
inflation adjusted it's done worse than the terrible 2005 version, although that cost more to produce.
>theaters aren't doing as well now as they were 20 years ago
Holy shit
hollywood is dead, yes.
Small town theaters going out of business isn't because of Hollywood, it's because of the ease of watching shit at home and our dying economy.
People still watch the garbage Hollywood creates, they just watch it on Netflix now.
netflix is not going to support the hollywood studios. you might call their slop hollywood, but it's an entirely different ecosystem.
the behind the scenes footage is crazy, all that stuff that looks like CGI was real sets.
>netflix is not going to support the hollywood studios
Are you not aware that Netflix pays Hollywood money to stream their movies on their service? You can go on Netflix right now and watch Hollywood movies.
Yes, but those licenses are not going to replace lost income from theaters, which is why everyone tried to make their own streaming platform and the studios are all merging. Blockbusters are coming to an end.
I'm not denying that. The future of film is direct to streaming garbage, as sad as that is. Things are only gonna get worse.
It's both. Hollywood movies have less and less big screen appeal and it's losing the streaming audience as well, with Asian stuff more and more popular among younger generations. That's a worldwide phenomenon btw
Even if that production budget is adjusted thats an insane number for a Charlie and the chocolate factory remake. Did Depp demand 40 million up front? Did they actually make a real chocolate factory and film there?
It's a good movie. Seen it twice already
I'm around 30 mins into it. It's a child's movie/musical who makes for an understandable alternative for family viewing. It has a type of fun silliness and the blackcasting doesn't seem too heavyhanded so far
i've seen it. it's no Paddington
It hasn't been out for two months yet. have a nice day /misc/cel
>inb4 /misc/ derangement sydrome
Only a /misc/cel would knowingly exaggerate like you did. You deserve to be called out and exposed for the invading piece of shit that you are. Go back.
Ironically, you're the one who sounds deranged
It’s February. This is the dry season of cinema where nothing except shitty indie movies and horror films are released because of awards. What else do you want theaters to play if nothing is coming out
i just don't think Wonka is that great either though. it's a kind of alright family movie. I thought it was trying to hard to be whimsical and They made wonka too nice
Okay. What movie do you think should be in theaters in its place then?
Not Wonka for the millionth time.
seriously what movie should replace it?
I did. anything but wonka for millionth time
>they should just get rid of a movie before its theatrical run is over for no reason
>they should keep the same films running in cinemas for months
But there are multiple films released in January and February, but Wonka still in Top 5 today and Top 3 until last week. Why would theaters throw away things that make money for them?
He's forgetting how long Top Gun: Maverick was in theaters.
Yes, that's how theaters work. The successful movies stay there for a while.
Because Josh Brolin insisted that his kids still want to rewatch it.
Hasn't it made like double what aquaman 2 made? The reason it's in theaters is because it's making lots of money
Wonka knocked Mission Impossible out of Top 10 worldwide, and all previous mission impossible films has never failed to be in Top 10
Think that says more about MI than Wonka tbf
