Magneto is and has always been a b***h. He's ONLY good at bullying those weaker than him, the moment he 1v1's anything that is theoretically "at his level" he folds like a pair of pants at a laundry

Because there’s tech that can nullify his powers.

Even in the 90's cartoon, there were sentinels made of non magnetic materials that would be used against Magneto. But they were specialized smaller grunts. Not a whole Master Mold like thing and everything it launched.

aren't most computer components magnetic? Magneto can extract iron from blood or adamantium from bones but he can't do it with a machine? That's lazy writing

        >Magneto can extract iron from blood
People keep forgetting that in X2 Mystique had to inject the guard with extra iron first. He can't just do that to anybody.

Yeah and in the old show Magneto was able to use the surrounding metals to fight back

Which is what Magneto did after catching the Auschwitz flashback and even before that.

aluminum, copper, brass, gold, silver, titanium, tungsten, and lead are non-ferrous metals. technically, Magento shouldn't be able to stop/control a bullet.

Apparently, Magneto can put magnetic fields onto metals that don't, strictly speaking; have them.
Why he isn't capable of gaussing non-metals is beyond my reckoning. Personally I think he just has Telekinesis and 1920's Polish Public School's idea of Magnetism. Any poles in the aether are welcome to tell me either that there wasn't public education then or they understood magnetism, in which case he was a shitty scienst student.

Is the consensus that Magneto is definitely dead? It seemed vague enough (no body) and seemed kind of sudden to take him fully out of the story, but maybe that was the point. If he is truly gone and Xavier is too then I could see the show adapting the more radicalized Cyclops arcs which could be fun.

Prolly not. Cable made an appearance, which means that he's probably gonna do some timey wimey shit and fix everything.

The consensus is that if you peg the age of a character to a particular historic event then they gotta die eventually. Though there's always The Simpsons angle.

Are you suggesting that was the primary reason for killing him off? Personally I've always been able to suspend disbelief about his appearance/vigor vs his age, obviously his appearance in the movies was probably more realistic but it was okay for comics and cartoons. I just felt he had more to do in the story, I mean he was just violently shown that all his efforts to do things Xavier's way were largely in vain, I'd want him around for a few more episodes to reckon with that.

It was a special metal called nonmetalbendium, as explained in Avatar: The Legend of Korra

      >Power nerfed by Leech

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion, I don't recall Leech and Rogue's powers working quite the same

Why the frick is the animation of this show so good?

You can notice they cheap out on stuff (IE; there are definitely moments where they feel like it's just tweening) but the overall look and presentment of the show is already diamond so the moment they do go all out it's even better.

Ehhhh. It's hit and miss. The action parts are really good. But a lot of the talking scenes look noticeably robotic and unnatural.
