Is that how they did that final line in the Latin American dubs? If I remember correctly the last line in English was "I love you to death". Regardless though, the bunny was fun but the thing that kind of weirded me out as a kid about this episode wasn't that but Scar suffocating to death and having his head blow up in space instead. No one really made it out of that episode well. Especially if they showed the after credits scene with Grim's wish.

Because it was the last thing you would've thought of when you heard " I want a bunny as a best friend." Set up, delivery, twist, it builds from that.

Cute things being evil (le subverted expectations) is funny.
It starts as a simple premise of juxtaposing something traditionally thought of as cute committing horrible acts, then gets funny as the scenario gets more ridiculous, going into a car chase and explosion in the span of 2 minutes. Plus the slapstick is good. It feels like a takeoff of a roadrunner and coyote short, just with more dialogue.
The key to humor is surprise
Mainly cause it was the one wish that probably should've worked? The rest of them easily could go wrong but this one seemed safe.
It subverted expectations, which is the cornerstone of good humor.
How could a wish for a pet bunny that loves you go wrong? When the only kind of love it knows is "Tough Love", and is a nigh-unkillable monster in the shape of a bunny was probably not on anyone's list. Sweet, stupid Pud'n being subjected to something straight of a Terminator movie is pretty funny as well, the poor kid's got such rotten luck you can't help but laugh at the situation.

My favorite part was when he gets launched off the cliff and they cut away to a guy with a huge pillow and I think Oh okay they're going to have him JUST miss the pillow, right? WRONG! the pillow is next to the cactus patch! but aside from that and the pillow exploding like a tanker truck the rest was just kinda meh for me.
