How well do you think this episode teaches about Black History?

I think this is a racebait outrage thread.
>How dare you discuss the garbage the big cartoon companies are brainwashing children with
Y'all were acting like this in the late 00s when I was insisting that cartoons should be good entertainment for kids.
guy im gonna attempt to genuinely explain this to you because youre a special individual and not just in the mentally way...
yes the shit the industry produces is crap and needs to be talked about, but not here. not on Cinemaphile. not in a thread that's basically just "hey Cinemaphile please repeat my political opinions at me while i jerk off to it". we know Op wants nothing more than that, he doesnt want a discussion and we can't solve the problem
in situations like this we pull out the ol reliable "shut up gay" and go
ok buddy? good talk
Not on Cinemaphile? Don't discuss cartoons on Cinemaphile? Where the frick should we talk about it then? Don't blame us for the cartoons getting political, we have a right to react
Youre mad and OP is laffing
Thanks ed
Exactly why did you think your routine for 20yo "autists" was going to work against me? I'm just going to screenshot it and email that to Industry people to reinforce that they don't get to complain about my emails. That's all you're going to get from now on, stop wasting my time
moronic power fantasy, which is the only thing that draws you to animation communities. You want to be an Animation Maniac harassing people.
>cant win argument
>attempt to shame people for even discussing anything
automatic defeat
a thread about a racebait episode might be a racebait thread? really?
It's not a racebait episode, you're just putting up an act of being overly sensitive.
>agreeing with guy
at this point if i didnt know better id think guy is some kinda industry plant that intentionally gets unleashed into threads in order to agree with opinions that would threaten the industry and falseflag people into disagreeing with them
he's not the devil, he's right about some things and wrong about others, just use your thinking brain instead of being a cult moron
>t. guy
Put your name back on.
It's true and you people are exactly the kind that psyops pray on
If you'll change your opinion at an instant because the incorrect person agrees with it you're actual sheep lmao
Agreed. Shame we can't do anything about it.
Have you considered that the show is racebait outrage?
>theres shit smeared on your porch so let me walk inside the house and shit there too, thatll fix the problem
>Just accept people are smearing shit on your porch
Frick off. Blame the source not the reactions to the source you dumb fricker.
So... Why are you not taking this to the sources? Why are you in my house, where shit was previously not, and spreading it?
So you won't just sit there and let these frickers keep spreading shit on our porches. You being a complacent shit is just as bad
not wanting to winge about shit when it isnt helpful isnt complacency
just because i hate something doesn't mean i come up to people and cry about it to rile them up too
>just accepting something isn't complacency
Really moron?
>No, you have to allow me to overreact to someone elses opinion on a cartoon imageboard! It's important I be validated
Grow the frick up you fricking homosexual. Do you honestly need people to agree with you that badly?
>No no no, everyone else is wrong to be upset, I'm the sensible one for letting this blatant propaganda go on without criticism
Piss off. It's a cartoon, it's expressing a moronic idea, it's on topic to discuss it. Don't like it then cartoons and comics isn't for you.
You should honestly consider killing yourself if you are this bent out of fricking shape that part of discussing this topic is disagreeing with you and saying you are a moron for trying to enforce your idea on everyone else.
This is the kind of shit a 13 year old does anon and it's very fitting for you.
You're the dumbass saying this shouldn't be discussed when it in everyway has every right to be. You're just pissed that race baiting is getting discussed and rather than accept that the source of the issue is with a cartoon you blame the fans getting upset over said cartoon forcing it in their face.
>black
>History
Imagine how nervous the token white girl must be feeling in that crowd
She has the advantage of height
Why does the guy on Penny's sign look darker than her?
It doesn’t it was such a stupid episode and severely outclassed by the dozen or so episodes in the old show that actually teaches you about racism
The weirdest thing was how they had to do all this digging and go to the "dark web" to find out the city founder was a slave owner. That would've been publicly known - we've always known many of the founding fathers owned slaves that's not hidden knowledge.
>Revive a cartoon nobody remembers
>Make it even more forgettable
>It's an, "Oscar's ancestor who looks just like him gets Buck Broken," episode.
>*POINK* AWOOGA
>TRUUUUUUDY!
>Owl House cancelled and given only a second season to wrap shit up
>Confirms Louder and Prouder for a second season and despite showing it on regular channels later still dedicates it to Disney+
Imagine paying money for the privilege of watching a progressive show. Will there be an episode about Israel and how israelites are our best friends?
>Will there be an episode about Israel and how israelites are our best friends?
Isn't it the other way around in this moment?
this was much better when people who wanted to write this type of shit would actually get it made as a movie and not one preachy episode of a kids show
Do black people not get tired of being reminded racism exists?
Considering they lived in Cali but act like is a Souther State, I'll say not too well.
The TV Tropes page for this episode points out several historical inaccuracies, like how the slave girl wouldn't be able to write a diary in the first place.
Because she wouldn't be able to write?
Also a lack of paper and ink, and having to hide it from the slavers.
The episode also depicts a New England type as the founder when back then California would have been under the rule of Spaniards.
The episode also claims that Lincoln wanted to deport slaves. He did, but they don't mention in the episode that he changed his mind.
Lol
Completely forgot the episode is about white people who own slaves and it took place in California.
its ok for non whites to own slaves, thats just part of their superior culture
Wasn't there some black movie star who was shown that his ancestors were actually owned by american indians and he found that very upsetting?
I don't think they chevk they're quaters often, and paper not the hardest to hide.
This is owned by Disney right? Not very confident.
Is this a "we wuz" episode or one of those "black inventor" claims.
Why is black history always about slavery? Did they do frick all in Africa until they were enslaved? Were there no standout battles? Great leaders? Inspirational thinkers? Works of art?
Africans weren't "black" before slavery invented that category, they were Yoruba or Ethiopian or Ashanti or Fulani or 1 of like a bajillion different ethnic groups that did not consider themselves part of any overarching "race". So there is no "black history" as a single unified story before slavery and colonization forced people into those categories by shattering their heritage and pre-existing ethnic identities and forming the notion of "black" as a homogeneous group.
What the frick is this larp thread about a bunch of AI art images. This episode never happened. You guys are so weird, this is weirder than tumblr dating rps.
Damn that guy in the back is TALL
Not as tall as Zoey
Completely false premise. The whole systemic racism crap is a scam for hustlers like Kendi to get rich. This was garbage and tried to teach young black children the only thing they could do that has any consequence is to get aggressive with anyone around them who doesn't look like them or agree with them.
