      >most people don't care about silly things
like a coherent plot and believable characters

is the job of writers make the silly things make sense in the story

      >the job of the writers is to make people not notice glaring plot holes while pushing "the message"
The writers job is to create a believable story that people connect with you moronic frick face.

going from general in some rebel army to illicit arms dealer is a pretty realistic character arc irl. lots of ex-military gays use their connections to do illegal shit and no one cares. although it is very disapointing for your childhood hero to be a washed up has been, but thats also the point goy.

This. It was crap. One of the reasons why I stopped watching Star Wars after this one.

I'm still baffled they thought it would be a good idea to kill him off before he could share a scene with Luke. Having Luke out of the picture for TFA was a monumentally moronic decision.

Kathleen Kennedy hates the fan base, hates the source material and supports the obliteration of anything male audiences connect with.

There was zero chance any male legacy character was going to be anything but a disconnected cuck that died in the lamest way possible so the day could be saved by a "stronk female that doesn't need no man"

Only an idiot has disney + (ree I wan't to give money to people that activly hate me)

I mean did you really expect Han Solo to be a dutiful politician's husband? Of course he and Leia broke up and he went back to doing what he was best at, it made perfect sense to me.

Because it wasn't a big deal. Everyone knew Ford wanted Han to die.
Seeing Han in the Millennium Falcon again is all fans really wanted. No one wanted to see him be a disgruntled old man larping as a politician or whatever.
The real kick in the guts was seeing him killed off without reuniting with Luke and Leia first.

Lol were these the same fans hating on the prequels? What a bunch of homosexuals.

    >in between 6 and 7 Han loses the Falcon somehow
    >based on his reaction to finding it again, he was actively searching for it/gave up at some point
    >is parked outside Jakku
    >is familiar enough with Unkar Plutt to say "I hate that guy"
I guess that ratty tarp covering the Falcon was a really good hiding spot

It was just another reason to dislike the new movies, and a stupid idea. Han Solo is a character that isn't supposed to reach an old age. A 70 year old smuggler that still wears the same stuff and does the same shit as 40 years ago is never not pathetic. Han was supposed to die in ROTJ, but Lucas was against it. Ford never liked the change and this was his chance to get rid of Han Solo, so he signed under the condition that Han bites the dust for real this time.

Han was based in the EU though. A general, but he used all his old connections to run a spy ring for the New Republic.
