I don't get it either, The Witcher 3 sold something like 14 million copies. If you can get just 1 out of every 20 Witcher fans to watch your show you have a massive super hit on your hands. They rushed into the Ciri storyline for no reason, that shit should have been for season 4 or 5 minimum. The first season should have been about establishing the setting, building up Geralt and the Witchers, and giving the audience an understanding of the general political landscape.
No one would ever watch a show like that. Most of the views the show got in the first season were people expecting it to be an actual Witcher show, if it was a completely original IP it never would have went anywhere.
