He would be strong enough to defeat Homelander singlehandedly, but he would end up defeating him in a really roundabout way.

Tick never actually gets into a real punchup, whenever he does he never really punches back either. He's like first story arc kid Kogu like that. Can survive anything but never really gets serious and finds some odd way to defeat his enemies.

Have we ever seen The Tick bleed, or sustain an actual injury? He does a lot of silly cartoon "Look, stars!" stuff, but he never seems to take any real damage.

It's a joke they've made in the comics very often

Ennis would kill him off by having a character shove a nuke up his ass or something

It would be something similar to a spoon, perhaps a little lobster cracker because that's unorthodox enough to mention by the bald sissy and the buff psycho, because it can't literally be a spoon, that's too obvious a reference.

Since both those writers have a burning hatred of superheroes he would be written as an idiot, a psychopath or both. And not the nice Tick kind of psychopath, he’d be a violent murderer and would be gruesomely killed.

They would probably make him some kind of delusional moron that accidentally kills people all around him while he thinks he is helping. Like shoving ten people into a small car and tossing it into the sky having no idea he juiced a dozen people. Or assuming any punk on the street is a supervillain and backhanding their heads off and then assuming they have some kind of detaching head superpower.

What even happened to The Tick? I remember watching the new one a while ago and got sick of it after the first episode, seemed like there weren't any jokes.

Worth watching beyond the pilot. They did a lot of tweaking, including having more humor, when it actually got picked up. That said, it got canned after the second season because whatever exec in charge of Prime Video really liked the show and pushed for it to get made/continue on ended up leaving while the second season was getting made; so when the new exec came in, he canned the show. I don't remember the exacting timing, but it might've been canned in favor of The Boys to be the service's alternative take on super heroes.

This is what the world needs right now, we need The Tick.
